  • I used Advantix to treat my dog for flea prevention about 2 weeks ago and I think she has fleas.?

I usually use Frontline, but didn't have any. She is itching more than normal. She pulled out a bunch of hair this morning. Then this morning I had a bunch of little welts on the top of my feet that itch. Do I still need to wait to treat her with Frontline seeing as the Advantix didn't do anything? What about my house...I am guessing that they are in the house now...any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Abnormal pap, 3 years after leep?

I had the LEEP procedure done about 3 years ago. All my paps since then have come back normal. I just had a pap comeback abnormal and have to go in for the procedure where they spray my cerviz with vinegar and do a biopsy if they find any abnormal cells. Everyone that I know that has had a leep done has not had another pap come back abnormal. I am just wondering if anyone else out there has had this experience...just looking for feedback as well...my paternal grandmother died from cervical cancer, so as you can imagine, I am pretty nervous...thanks!

  • What causes lightning to strike?

I know (or have been told) that lightning is attracted to metal...but are lightning strikes random? A teenager was recently struck and killed by lightning while running into his house. Was this just random or what might have caused the lightning to strike him? Can lightning come in through a window into a house? Thanks for your answers...I must have missed this in science class :)

  • bleeding, sex, and the LEEP?

I had the LEEP procedure done a year and a half ago to remove some abnormal cells from my cervix. Ever since then, everytime I have sex I bleed and cramp....and it obviously is not nearly as enjoyable. The doctors don't seem to be concerned that I am still bleeding and having these problems...I am frustrated...obviously....

Has anyone else had this happen or know why this may be happening? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Seriously, dating in your 30s with kids, is it fun?

I hear so many people talk about how much fun dating is. I am in my 30s, a single mom, and dating is not fun...it is a let down and a lot of emotional work....does anyone else feel this way?

  • How long should I wait before I just move on?

I have been dating this guy for just over a month. I do not date several men at one time, I have just never had it in me to do that.

I like him, he is funny, smart, educated, good dad and responsible. He has had a hard life. He has lost his faith in many things inlcuding love and marriage. He also has many female friends. (which bugs me sometimes just becuz I feel like he pays more attention to them than me). He does simple, sweet things like pulling the covers over me when I am cold. He used to text message me several times a day, now I dont usually get one a day. It has been a month. He says that he is not looking to date anyone else, but we have no real commitment. I just dont want to get played. I dont want to waste time and emotions if he isnt into us. Do u think it is pretty early for us to be losing steam, or is it just the fact that the excitment doesnt last forever? should i just move on if he isnt willing to make that commitment, or am i asking him too early?

  • seriously...strip clubs and relationships??? for men and women?

This one is for all of you, single, in committed relationships or married...

What is your opinion on your significant other going to strip clubs when you are in a commited relationship with them?

Do you believe that even when you are with someone, you are going to "notice" good looking people of the opposite sex?

Do you believe that if you are happy and content in a relationship with someone, that you don't need to go and look at other naked women? or do you think that it is something that many "healthy men" in "healthy relationships" do?

If a woman has a problem with it, do you think that she is insecure?

Thanks to all of you that take the time to answer seriously and honestly!!

  • Help with bug bites! PLZ?

My son and I are being bit by some type of bug in our home. I have no idea what it is. I have used a bug bomb...and it didnt seem to help. Bites are small and red, itch, and are sometimes painful after itched. They are not in clusters, appear on legs, waistline, belly, arms and neck. They are sporadic. I have washed our bedding in hot water and put on high in the dryer for over an hour. The only pet we have is a hamster. I looked up flea bites online and from what I read, there are usually several in one area. This has been happening since we moved into our new apartment in September. Any ideas? I would prefer some type of natural/non toxic ideas (if possible).

Yes, I vacuum and clean our place. It is not dirty or anything like that. Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated!

  • scar tissue from LEEP procedure?

I had a LEEP done just over a year ago to remove abnormal cells from my cervix. I had granulated tissue growing where the LEEP had been performed...so they used silver nitrate to burn it off this January, 07...yeah lovely, I know!!! So, doc said he had seen this before but never where it is with me and not from this procedure...but he says not to worry...

I have ovarian, cervical, breast and uteran cancer between my mom, paternal and maternal grandmothers....

Has anyone else had this happen? What do you think about the tissue growth?? Am I being too much of a worrier or should I get a 2nd opinion???

Any advice is very much appreciated!

  • Best ways to stop someone from verbally abusing you?

What are the best ways to stop someone from verbally abusing you. When walking away isn't always an option. I need to speak to him about my son at some point, and he just rages and name calls. Even on the computer, phone, with people present...and any wonderful ideas on how to stop myself from shaking and trembling everytime I have to deal with him?

  • dealing with my sons verbally abusive father?

The short end of the story. We were in college, it was a one night stand, it never went any further than that (and yes, I know the stupidity that went along with sleeping with him that night, that is not the point here, so please don't get stuck on it) His father decided when my son was 3 years old that he wanted visitation rights. and so it began. I think that it is great for my son that his father is in his life.

THe problem...his father is the most verbally/emotionally abusive person that I have EVER known! Knowing that I have to talk to him, read an email from him, and the worst talk to him in front of my son makes shake and get sick to my stomach. He is one of the MEANEST/ANGRIEST people that I have ever met in my whole entire life. We don't like each other, and that's fine...but good God, just to be civil for our son's sake...he is unwilling to do it.

But the worst thing of it all, he treats my son like crap. And my son wants so much to be loved by him...he will take it

  • feminine force and masculine force?

Do you believe that for a romantic relationship to be successful and work that one person in the relationship needs to be the feminine force and the other the masculine force? so the feminine force works off from emotions while the masculine force works off from logic.

  • I gave up my identity when I became a mom...?

I had my son while I was in college. At that time I chose to basically give up everything that I love to be a mom. I finished college, and over time I have noticed that I don't do much of anything for myself...and come to think of it...I really don't have much fun anymore.

I am looking for suggestions of things to do for fun...that are not expensive. What do you do for fun? What are you most passionate about (and I am not talking about sex either!)?

  • I started dreaming about him..help!?

I keep dreaming about the man that I was engaged to. When we moved in together he became very emotionally and verbally abusive. I later found out that he was physically hurting my son (which social services has followed up on). When he raised his hand to hit me, I knew that I had to leave, it wasnt just stress that was causing him to act like this. I left while he was at work, he came home, the police were involved...well I don't love him anymore, I havent seen him since I moved out in early August...I started dreaming about him recently...marrying him and good things, not all the bad things...I don't understand why I am even thinking about him, much less in a good way in my dreams...any ideas what is going on and how to stop it???? Thanks!

  • Good ideas for getting rid of headaches?

I have been getting really bad headaches (but not migraines) lately. I think they are sinus headaches. Does anyone know of some good natural ways to get rid of a headache? I am tired of taking aceteminiphin (Tylenol), and I am allergic to everything else. I appreciate your suggestions!

  • Do you know of any help with paying off college loans?

I went to college and graduated with a degree in elementary education. I am a single mom. My loan payments are way out of my financial range, and they are as low as they can be. Does anyone know of any grants or ways I can get help paying my loans off? My next step is to get a 2nd job, and I will hardly ever be able to see my son. Thanks!
