  • What is you predicition for Fight of The Night for UFC 116?

    UFC 116 IS STACKED!

Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin (heavyweight title-unification bout)

    Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Wanderlei Silva

    Matt Brown vs. Chris Lytle

    Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski

    Kurt Pellegrino vs. George Sotiropoulos

    Brendan Schaub vs. Chris Tuchscherer

    Kendall Grove vs. Goran Reljic

    Seth Petruzelli vs. Ricardo Romero

    Dave Branch vs. Gerald Harris

    Forrest Petz vs. Daniel Roberts

    Jon Madsen vs. Karlos Vemola

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs Wanderlei Silva is my predicition for Fight of The Night because both fighters feed off the energy from fans and preffer to stand and bang over anything else and don't usually try to take to the fight to the ground.

I have a feeling this could be a similar night to the TUF 9 Finale where they gave out 3 fight of the night bonuses on top the sub and KO of the night.

    Other possibilites are

Matt Brown vs. Chris Lytle - 2 high energy guys who primarily preffer to stand and bang.

Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski - the 2 were having a good fight atUFC 110 till the dr stoppage and both really wanted this rematch and have said they want it to be better than the first.

Kurt Pellegrino vs. George Sotiropoulos - this fight will be a great jiu jitsu war one that can be a very entertaining wigth lots of close subs and reversals or even has the potential to turn into a slugfest if neither can get anything going on the ground.

Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin - I see this ending up being more of a KO of the night but it has the potential to be a war.

    whats your thoughts and/or predicitions?

  • Did anyone else lost some respect for Jamie Varner?

I am watching WEC 49 right now and when Varner got hit with the 3rd accidental low blow he actually asked the referee if he took another point from Shalarous, to me that's just pathetic to ask for a point deduction, other than that it was a great fight with lots of action. A draw though? WTF? lol

  • Is this Salmon still good to eat?

My dads friend brought back fresh salmon he caught in Alaska, I pulled it out of the freezer on Wednesday but was unable to cook it then so we put it in the fridge and I just pulled it out today (Saturday) and was starting to cut off the scales and noticed that some of it's brownish tan color on the actual meat part of it, is this ok to cook up still? it doesn't smell like it's gone bad and i've cooked a lot of slamon before but never seen this so thats why im asking.

  • what are your thoughts on Ryan Bader?

I honestly wanted Bader to win the TUF Finale but I though Vinny was gonna use thos eslick submission skills and make Bader tap but Bader had awesome takedown defense and used that devestating KO power of his to win. To knock someone out even with them block the hit is very impressive. In my opinion he is gonna be a force to be reckoned with in the LHW Division and I can't wait to see more of him in the cage. Not too mention he seens to be a pretty cool guy outside of the cage as well.

  • Question only for ppl who actually understand MMA?

How well do you think Fedor would actually do in a cage setting? Look at what happened to Cro Cop and Hendo two guys who dominated in Pride, which was a ring setting, Crop Cop is gone from the UFC and Hendo has lost two of his 3 fights and barely won on a decision, Hendo had fought in the UFC a few years before and got only decision victories then as well, and in pride he did have decision victories but also had many KO victories, and Cro Cop had 1 win in the UFC over Eddie Sanchez who's still pretty much an up and comer and lost to Kongo and Gonzaga (who knocked him out with a head kick which is what Cro Cop is famous for). I mean that he is famous for head kicks and not being ko'd.

Now to be fair look at Rampage (became light heavyweight champion and made a good run as the champ before losing to forrest), Wandy (went an awesome 3 round war with Lidell and I personally feel he'd destroy chuck in a rematch, laid out Jardine in 36 seconds (I think we saw the return of the REAL Axe Murderer in that fight), Anderson Silva (do I really need to explain that one? lol) who are all success stories of the switch.

How well do you think Fedor would do?, he was offered a HUGE deal to fight in the UFC and at the time they had the best competition out there for him and yet he declined the offer and continues to fight only in ring settings, as it stands now I dont feel the UFC has the best heavyweight division anymore but they did at the time of the offer so why not take it? is he worried about fighting in the cage or does he just not want to or what? I personally think he'd need a fight or 2 to get used to the cage but still feel he'd be able to win, what are your thoughts? and please dont be some 13 year old who thinks Kimbo's God and that he'd destroy Fedor and this and that, actually have some MMA knowledge please.

  • Name of movie with cagefighting?

I know this is the martial arts area but I figure a Martial Arts movie fan would know this, I remember seeing a movie like 10 years ago or so with Cage Fighting (it was more street fighting in a cage thats why i'm not sayin MMA) it had a black training a white kid who if I remember right was some nerd willing to fight some jock (typical story line I know) and at some point the black guy whose name I wanna say was billy I could be wrong also fought in the cage as well I dont remember anything other than that oh and part of the training was running up a mountain with rocks in his backpack but other than that I dont remember anything else does anyone know what this movie is called?
