My assignment is to describe how an elder person finds my behavior troubling. I choose my mom. Is my thesis clear? I always have trouble with that. Thanks in advance.
“She got her nose pierced! Can you believe this?!” I couldn’t help but giggle at my aunt’s frustration over my niece’s newly acquired body jewelry. Truth is if there were to be a current version of what I used to behave like at that age, she would be the perfect depiction. After trying to calm her down, and miserably failing, I hung up the phone and reminisced about my own mischievous acts. My aunt’s reaction took me back to my mother’s rants of disbelief over, what at the time, seemed like harmless fun. That, and my niece’s new shenanigan, made me realize one thing: parent’s idea of normal and healthy behavior will never really match that of their kid’s. The generation gap between my parents and I paved the way for constant disagreement and debate over my “inappropriate” conduct.2 AnswersHomework Help1 decade ago
So I lost my ID last night, and tonight im going to a club. The picture in my passport is of me when I was really young. It still looks like me, but I'm going to take my college ID along with my passport just in case. Would they accept it?1 AnswerDancing1 decade ago
I just got a call asking me if I would be a guest speaker for my schools JROTC banquet, tonight. I graduated so I'm going as an alumni. I'm supposed to write a speech about my experience in the program, I just have no idea how to start it. Any suggestions?3 AnswersHomework Help1 decade ago
My period is usually very regular. It was due on the 17th of this month. So I'm about 8 days late. I had my period last month and haven't had sex since then, so I doubt it's pregnancy.
I have been exercising about 6 hours a week for 3 months now, could that be the reason its been delayed?
I'm pretty worried since this is unusual for me.6 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago
“I walked through the crowded halls of Hallandale High School, just like I had for the past four years. Familiar faces surrounded and greeted me as I made my way to yet another class of the never ending day. I encountered a strange stairway, and started to go up the steps with no hesitation. My journey continued, until my mother suddenly grabbed my arm and told me to look behind me. I turned around and to my surprise, there he was, smiling. I ran towards him, hugged him, and began to cry. He seemed confused, and asked me what was wrong. I replied; ‘Nothing Jay, you’re still here.’ “
Since the beginning of time, every single person that has set foot on this earth has dreamt. It is a function that comes to the human race as naturally as the instinct of survival. In fact, the average person spends about one third of their life sleeping. For a seventy-five year old, that would equal to twenty five years of dreaming. What happens during this span continues to be a mystery, and equally intriguing to scientists. Even though it has been, and continues to be, an eternal phenomenon, the purpose of dreaming has not yet been clearly defined. Some view it as a “spiritual” escape into another world; others believe that dreams are simply a “random [collection] of meaningless images.” Dreams might be difficult to decipher, but they certainly are an essential factor to our existence.
NOTE: My research paper is on dreams, for a psychology class. The first paragraph, which is in quotations, is Italicized.3 AnswersHomework Help1 decade ago
I am writing a research paper for my psychology class on dreams.
I wanted to make the introduction very vivid, and talk about a dream that I had.
However, I am not sure if it's okay to use "I" or 'YOU" in a research paper, I've heard before it's best to avoid it.

Obama has won Ohio, for McCain to win is virtually impossible, unless he wins EVERY single swing state and then some. So, do you guys still have hope?7 AnswersElections1 decade ago
I used to work out at home, doing ab exercises, etc.
However, I signed up for a gym and today was my first day going.
I was doing the cardio routine fine with the instructor. But I started getting EXTREMELY light headed. So I stopped, went to the bathroom... and yeah.
I sat down drank some gatorade, and kept on working out and I was fine.
I ate before I went to the gym but not too much, and I rested.
Are there any tips you guys could give me? So that my body's more prepared next time? Thank you!12 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade ago
I am really interested in buying it, but for $1,200 + I am hoping it's the whole computer, and not just the touch screen.1 AnswerDesktops1 decade ago
So I've never really had the necessity to start driving, since my friends and family would take me where I needed to go.
However, I started college, so now I'm pretty much... forced to start driving.
I have my license, but I'm still pretty nervous about driving.
I'm okay at it, but I see everybody else so comfortable with it, and I want to be at ease while I'm at the wheel.

I'm confused. I learned about this in my government class a year ago... and I remember that this doesn't represent the popular vote. Am I right? If so, then are all these polls being asked to registered voters... pretty much useless?5 AnswersElections1 decade ago
A week ago I took 2 pregnancy tests and they were both positive. I am pretty sure of the day I conceived and I am just short of 5 weeks pregnant. When does a woman start to show? Because my stomach is still flat... no baby bump at all. Is this normal?30 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago
For both parties. I'm just curious. If the candidate that you stand against CLEARLY does better than the one you're currently supporting will you change your vote? Or remain the same?

I won't lie, I've had my scares before simply because of a late period.
But I never had symptoms.
This time my period is late and I've been having non-stop cramps for a week and a half, and I rarely get cramps, and if I do, they don't hurt as bad as they do know.
Today I ate breakfast, and while I was sitting at the table I literally ran to the bathroom because I felt like throwing up.
I just don't feel like myself...
I know my body, and I have a feeling that I am pregnant...
