  • Low Budget Cocktail hour?

We are really tight for money and have already racked up a bunch of bills planning our wedding. I know we should have a cocktail hour between ceremony and reception since that will be our picture taking time but all this sure adds up quick! Any ideas on inexpensive foods for the cocktail hour? I'm at a lost on what even normally gets served there!

  • Music for my grandparent's 50th anniversary picture dvd?

I am making a picture slide show for my grandparents, showing moments from them getting married up to them holding their new great grandson. I'm still in the beginning stages of planning but was wondering if anyone had any song suggestions? Also I thought I would have a whole segment on the grandkids growing up. Any good song thoughts for that? Thanks!

  • What colors look good with red?

For months I thought I would be going with a light green for my wedding in June but had to just change it to red. I am clueless when it comes to matching colors and was hoping to get advise on nice colors to go with red. The wedding is in July and I already know that while I love the red/black combination, I don't want that. Also, I am a visual person so I would love to see sample pictures for the recommended color combinations. Thanks!

  • Cute flat wedding shoes?

It seem like everything out there for wedding shoes are high heels! I want something flat. I am already a few inches taller than my fiance and I don't like heels anyway. It's so hard to walk in them! Does anyone know where to go to get cute flat shoes?

  • How do I deal with the excessive vines on my fence?

I just moved into a new house about a month ago. I love the front yard. The previous owner was into gardening. One plant is like a vine and it is all over the one side of the fence. It's just a little too much for me. I don't necessarily want to kill it because I think that if it was a little less thick it would like really nice and I would like to see what it will look like in the spring when it is actually green but I'm just hating it right now. It is so thick! I was just going to rip some of it off but having absolutely no previous gardening experience, I have no idea if that would be a good thing to do. Any suggestions?

  • Which dress do you like best?

I am really torn between two wedding dresses! Time has come to make a decision and I am really stressing over it. Not that I will go with popular vote here but I am just curious, which one do you like most?

  • What is this migraine medication?

I am pretty sure this is a medication that I have been on in the past that for some reason my doctors have lost record of. I really need to know what it is called so I can tell my current doctor. Thanks!

  • Question about my bridesmaids?

Getting married next summer. I've never even been a part of a wedding before so some of this stuff is completely lost on me. For example, I want my sisters to be my bridesmaids. All my sisters are adults except for one that is only 14. Would that make her a junior bridesmaid? If yes, does that mean she wears a different dress? Does she still walk down the aisle with a groomsman?

  • I'm afraid I am going to have to get rid of my dog :(?

I forgot to mention that it is getting to the point where my mom is hinting that she wants the dog out. And, while he has made messes, this last one was the first in over two months so it is not that frequent of an occurrence.

  • Does this sound good for baby shower games?

I am throwing a baby shower for my sister and I have never done anything like this before. I am planning the games but have no idea what kind of variety I should have or how many. I would just like some feedback on my plans so far. There will probably be around 30 people attending.

    1. guess how many jelly beans in a bottle (table center piece)

    2. Two paper games to do while waiting for food/for everyone to be done eating (baby word scramble and how many words can you make out of baby's name)

    3. A group game between food and gifts (can't decide on this one. Maybe guess mommy's tummy size or guess the baby food flavor)

    4. Bingo (everyone writes done different baby shower gifts and if mommy opens it, they mark it off their card)

    5. The game where everyone gets a baby pin and if they say the word 'baby' has to pass it to the right. Person with the most at the end wins. This one would be played throughout the entire shower.

So, any feedback? Is that too much/too little. Any advice would be great!!

  • It's been probably 5 years since a failed laser hair removal, should I try it again?

I grow hair in some rather embarrassing places such as around my belly button and about 5 or so years ago I had laser treatment. I think I had 3 sessions. It didn't work though! Now that laser hair removal is becoming so popular, I am wondering if maybe it's been approved since I last had it done. Would it be worth it to give it another try? I would really like to get rid of this unwanted hair!

  • Should I buy a SLR camera having never used one?

I am planning on getting a new camera with my tax refund. I am willing to pay a bit of a higher price (maybe up to something in the 600 range) and I see that some SLR cameras would be in my price range. I have never used one before. Are they something that are fairly easy for someone with no experience to pick up on? The thing is, my last three point and shoot cameras have left me unsatisfied. I usually keep them for a few years before growing annoyed with them and replacing them. Also, I plan on doing many outdoor hikes and such this summer and while I want the best camera possible, I also want one that won't be too heavy or bulky since some of these hikes will last multiple days. Any advice on which cameras are the best for these price range and these circumstances?

  • Where can I find all the Twilight music from Stephanie Meyer's Playlists?

On Stephanie Meyer's official website she has her own little 'soundtracks' for each book of hers. I've been trying to collect all of this music but some of the songs are so hard to find! Buying each individual cd would just be ridiculus and not all the songs are on itunes. I've even looked on limewire but it's still hard to find the songs. Anyone know of a place I can go to download all of them? Like, is there already a place where they are all bunched together and ready for download? Any help would be appreciated!

I'm planning a trip for the summer and would love all the recommendations I can get. I'm the type that goes more for scenic and natural beauty than cities. Any suggestions?

  • How can I get rid of an ear ache?

At least, I think it is a ear ache. I haven't had one since I was a young child. The whole right side of my hear hurts, from my throat to my ear and I am getting bad headaches. This started a day or two ago. Right now I am waiting to call the doctor, they only open at 8 but I am afraid that since it's a holiday, the office will be closed for the day so I won't be able to get in until Monday! I had some great plans for the weekend that I don't want to back out of. Is there anything I can do for myself if the doctor's visit doesn't work out? Are there any over the counter drugs that I can buy to help it go away? I'm not just looking for temporary relief, I want it gone!!!

  • Must do/Must see things in Jamaica?

I'm going to Jamaica next week for a 5 day vacation and I'm wondering what people who have been there before would recommend me doing while I'm there. I'll be staying at a hotel at Montego Bay.

Also, any other kind of travel advice would be greatly appreciated! I want to make the most out of this trip!
