  • How do I add space to c: drive?

    I just had my computer reformatted at a local repair shop. The guy's normally pretty good, but this time he left me in a bind.

    Windows Vista Home Premium is on C: drive. 116 megabytes free of 9.75 gigs. Drives d: and e: have 84.7 GB free of 111 each.

    I think C: has about 15% - which is what is recommended for Vista...but can I somehow pad that with extra hard drive space from one of the other drives?

  • I can't install anything...how do I tell my computer to use e:?

    I just had my computer reformatted, Windows is on C: which is partitioned to only have enough room for Windows.

    I keep getting this dumb error message saying that the drive is full. I'm downloading to D: drive, which is fine...(84.7 G free), but when any self installer starts, it always fails because that drive is full. I expect it still has to swap some temp files...so, what do I do?!

  • Who fits this stereotype?

    found this answer confusing. I find stereotypes fascinating.

    OK.

    * high high school drop out rate

    * drug/ alchol abuse

    * early teen pregnancies

    * particular slang dialect

    * sticks to their own kind

    * if religious, typically Christian

    * low income

    Can you please let me know, based on the first stereotype that comes to mind, who *you'd imagine* seeing this stereotype applied to? (You don't have to believe the stereotype)

  • Question about the "Teabag March"?

    Now that it appears that the Teabagger March has reached upwards of 500 people, I have a question. I apologize if it's been asked before.

    I know the rationale behind the "Boston Tea Party" and taxes/representation, etc.

    But how does someone "teabag" is a verb? What's it mean to be "teabagging?" Should one proudly announce at Church, "I'm a teabagger"?

    It's just I've heard people ask this and laugh at the same time. Why would they laugh.

  • Democrats, Republicans - Can we at least agree on...?

    Outside of tort reform, state lines and public options, the things that are still being discussed....

    Can America as a country at least agree that

    (1) Insurance companies should be outlawed for refusing claims based on "pre-existing conditions"?

    (2) Insurance companies should be outlawed from dropping Employer's plans if too many employees are sick?

    (3)Insurance companies should be outlawed from arbitrarily dropping plans in general?

    Right now, I don't really care about the rest of the plan. All I know is, if there's an insurance company that will suffer financially from not ripping off it's members, then they need a new CEO.

    Anyone?

  • Can we be sensible? (Sensible answers only please :))?

    Personally, I'm tired of this great divide. Obviously, liberals want immigration reform as much as the Republicans. No one wants America's health care system overburdenned more than it already is.

    Seems to me though that illegals have used ER funds since Reagan's amnesty. It's a problem, for sure, but whether there is health care reform or not, nothing is going to change that outside of immigration reform which can take years. Bush tried to implement "Guest Workers" and it failed.

    So, in terms of healthcare, I like the regulations making it illegal for insurance companies to cancel claims based on irrelevant reasons. I really think that insurance companies have proven time and time again that they're putting profit ahead of patient's health. I'm glad we're trying to stop that, for all Americans.

    What are 5 things you'd like to see to reform health care?

  • Why would Joe Wilson do this?

    in 2003, Wilson voted to provide federal funds for illegal immigrants’ health-care. The vote came on the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, which contained Sec. 1011 authorizing $250,000 annually between 2003 and 2008 for government reimbursements to hospitals who provide treatment for uninsured illegal immigrants.

    Could it be that illegals have always had access to health care? So, Joe, yelling, "You lie!" was simply a red herring to make Obamacare look bad, even though in OBAMA's bill, it explicitly states that illegals are not represented under the bill?

    Why is Joe Wilson more interested in pulling funding from the Federal government to PAY FOR illegal's health care instead of thinking of ways to reform immigration? Obama's looking to fix healthcare. What's Joe Wilson trying to fix? Obviously not his integrity.

  • What news station should I listen to?

    If I want to get logical, reasonned facts from *both* sides on health care. (not including who yelled at who at town halls, just solid facts about the healthcare bill itself pros/cons)

  • Wasn't the immigration problem cleaned up?

    I know that Reagan first offered amnesty to illegals to use American Emergency rooms. But, what happenned to George Bush's famous "Guest Worker" program? I could have sworn the Republicans had that all cleaned up. Hmmm. Guess not. Is that why there are still so many illegals using up American Healthcare dollars?

  • Obamacare means doctors and nurses will be paid less?

    Explain this:

    The Republicans have put up staunch opposition to President Obama's ideas for health care reform. However, it turns out the GOP does not fare as well as Democrats when it comes to soliciting campaign contributions from doctors and other people working in the health sector.

    Want the full story? Be my guest:

    http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/09/11/blogs/coop...

    Why would doctors and nurses support a plan that would see them making less money? Are they tired of having to deal with shady insurance companies? Are they sick of having patients pulled by...insurance companies? What are your thoughts?

  • Common Sense Americans, rejoice?

    Those who are tired of hearing nonsensical Glenn Beck misinformation ad nausea, won't you be glad to hear Obama say these words?

    from his speech transcript tonight 8:00 EST

    "But what we have also seen in these last months is the same partisan spectacle that only hardens the disdain many Americans have toward their own government. Instead of honest debate, we have seen scare tactics. Some have dug into unyielding ideological camps that offer no hope of compromise. Too many have used this as an opportunity to score short-term political points, even if it robs the country of our opportunity to solve a long-term challenge"

    "But know this: I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it's better politics to kill this plan than improve it. I will not stand by while the special interests use the same old tactics to keep things exactly the way they are. If you misrepresent what's in the plan, *we will call you out. *"

    Do you think Obama's back on the track America elected him for?

  • How would McCain have handled this?

    Would McCain have left the banks, and subsequently the economy spiral down into an economic nightmare, as most economics predicted would happen without a bailout?

    Would he have left two automakers to collapse, putting 1000's of Americans depending on government assistance, a large amount of people suffering from the collapse of their stocks and an influx of foreign cars gutting the American market?

    And how about the War? Would Afghnistan be solved right now?

  • Which news organization fought for the right to broadcasters the right to lie or deliberately distort news?

    Was it MSNBC? Fox? CNN?

    And how does that ruling affect what you believe on that station?

    (hint: it was FOX news, who fired a reporter that wanted to expose how chemicals in milk production were making people sick. Unfortunately, Monsanto piad FOX to distort the story. FOX lied about the chemicals and argued when they were sued, that as news station they were in their right to lie or deliberately distort news, citing the 1st amendment. They actually won the case)

  • What would have happenned if Obama hadn't changed his address to students?

    While I'm expecting all sorts of "the sky would fall", exaggerated outcries, I'm actually looking for sensible answers.

    If you haven't read what was taken out, please stop saying how glad you are that was changed, because you don't know what was changed and you're annoying.

    Pleae quote what was taken out, and describe what damage that content would have caused in order to create such an outrage.

  • Why doesn't Glenn Beck respond to this police report with his name on it?

    Everyone's saying all the talk of Glenn Beck raping and killing a schoolgirl in the 90's is just a smear campaign.

    How about this police report?

    http://imgur.com/3qpo5.png

    If it is just a "smear campaign", how come Glenn Beck doesn't come clean, prime time, hold up the police report and say "I did not rape and kill a schoolgirl in the 90's"?

  • Since Obama is obviously Anti-American...?

    and Republicans are looking to stir up controversy, and read between the lines with everything he says, labelling everything as "Communism", "fascism", and "marxist", what should we take from these alarming words that some naive young Americans may have been exposed to in school...

    ""We need every single one of you to develop your talents, skills and intellect so you can help solve our most difficult problems," Obama said. "If you don't do that — if you quit on school — you're not just quitting on yourself, you're quitting on your country."

    What did he REALLY mean by that? What are the subliminal messages that he used the CIA to hide in there?

    Since, Obama is urging kids that treacherous anti-american advice, do you wish your kids would have stayed at home and not heard it? And will you urge your kids to drop out of school so they don't fall into Obama's plan?
