  • Should I quit marching band?

I get stressed and anxious very easily, and I an very stressed for marching band. It was my first time in it last year, which was my junior year. I played a bass drum. This year I am drumline captain (tough it doesn't really seem or feel like it). Band camp just passed but I was only able to make it into one day because I was on vacation. I absolutely dreaded it, I had no friends and was alone, it was like this last year too. It is kind of hard for me to enjoy it. It is so time consuming and I'm worried about my grades as well. Anyways, the reason I haven't quit already isn't easy to put into words. I do enjoy it on some levels, I'm captain and took on this responsibility, I knew it was going to be like this, I would disappoint the band. School starts this Monday and so does daily rehearsals and I'm not ready. I'm dreading the school year because of band. Sorry for the long story.

  • Green stink bug invasion?

Last week, I found a small green bug in my house. I hate bugs and got rid of it, then researched it and found it was a green stink/shield bug.

Now, I see at least 4-5 a night, usually hanging out my light. I can't handle it and vacuum them up. Today, I found one 2-3x the size as the ones I have been seeing, and it's completely green instead of the brown back like the usual ones. I'm guessing it's an adult.

My house just overcame a flea invasion (thanks to my cat) & now this? I'm cursed. How can I get rid of them? Is it safe to assume they are mating/being born in my house?

  • Trig/Pre-cal problems help?

    1. sinxcosx/tanx

    2. simplify to 1 or -1:

    cos(pi/2 - x)csc(-x)

    3. (tanx-1)(cosx+1) = 0

    4. ±√[(1-cos1/4)/(2)]

    5. Find cos(a+B). sin a = 4/5, a lies in quadrant I, and cos B = 12/13, B lies in q I.

    6. cos2x = √(3)/2

    7. cosx-sin2x=0

Can you figure out any of these?

  • Touch screen on laptop not working?

Yesterday my dog knocked over my computer. I didn't think it caused much damage, but when I opened it up it acted as though I was tapping the screen over and over again in these certain spots, it was spazzing out, tapping things causing things to open. I restarted it, and it did the same thing but when I touched the screen it stopped. But then the touch screen doesn't work at all. It's the same process every time I open my computer. Is there anything I can do? Thanks!

  • Do these cameras take the same lenses?

I am thinking about buying either the Pentax Q or Q10. I can't find any lenses that say it's particular to the Q10, only the Q. Does it fit either one?

Also, which one would you recommend (Q10 or Q)?

  • What graphing calculator is right for me?

So I want (and need) a graphing calculator. At school, they suggest the Texas Instruments Ti-84 or something like that. But they are getting out of date, and I want to get one I can use on into college. (I'm a Junior in high school right now). I also want to be able to use the calculator on tests like ACTs, and the 89 is not allowed there, so I can't get that one. Well I'm not sure, I am not really educated on graphing calculators, this would be my first time using/having one.

  • How to tell if I need glasses?

I have never had an actual eye exam before, just those posters nurses made you look at every once in awhile at school. Lately my eyes have been having trouble focusing (particularly on things close up) & when I read, I lose my place often (without looking away from where I was in a sentence) and it's sometimes blurry. I also sometimes get random headaches right above and by the sides of my eyes, but I guess there can be other reasons to cause that.

It's not that bad, but I fear it might get worse.

I am 16, by the way.

So! What do you think? Should I ask my mom & get an eye exam?

  • How can I memorize a monologue in one day?

So I have to recite the "Is this a dagger which I see before me" monologue from Macbeth on Tuesday. For a week I've been trying to memorize it (what I've been doing is just repeating it over and over) but the results aren't good. It can't seem to stick with me.

SO, what are some good techniques for memorizing a long speech like this?

  • How do I transfer iTunes to a new computer?

I recently bought a new computer, and want to transfer my iTunes to this one. The thing is, my old computer died, and is in another state right now. I also don't have an external hard drive with all my iTunes songs. On iTunes on my new computer, I signed in to my account and it viewed my purchases (which is only like 10 songs, most of my songs were from CDs or something). I tried to play them, but it said I had to authorize the computer.

So, how can I transfer my songs and podcasts and videos, all that jazz, to my new computer iTunes? Is it possible? & how do I authorize?

It got to the point where its so loud I can't even talk on the phone or watch Netflix. I've tried turning it off then on again. I've never gotten it wet. I have dropped it a few times before, maybe that's it?

So please help solve the mystery and how can I stop the static?
