Could we just stop all the debate by relabeling public changing rooms and showers to those with penis and those without?
That way pre-surgical trans people wouldn't be "misgendered" and other people wouldn't have to see body parts they shouldn't have to see in semi-public naked places.5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender2 months ago
I'm reading a book. The suspect was extradited from WA to NY and has been sitting in jail for a while. They keep mentioning that he hasn't gone to the grand jury yet and that just made me wonder how long you could just keep someone in jail without indicting someone. If it's a long time seems like a bit of a loophole tome.2 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 months ago

Specifically, should schools be responsible for cyberbullying on non-school owned computers? Should schools be responsible for children to and from the bus stop or school? Should schools be responsible for child care on days that school is not open? Should schools be responsible to feed all children breakfast and lunch for free? Should schools provide free psychiatric counseling and medical services?2 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education4 years ago
My friend asked me a question about a doctor's appointment I had had, I answered and then said I was still having some pain. She made me mad by saying I was just having tenderness. How would she know what I'm feeling. I said it wasn't tenderness, it was actually pain and she argued with me, saying she had tenderness also. I then asked (in a kind of loud voice) if the "tenderness" was stabbing and she told me to calm down and proceeded to assure that I only had tenderness. I felt it was totally disrespectful to tell me what I'm feeling. On the other hand, I don't usually make a big deal out of stuff.
Also, a couple of weeks ago we were talking to another friend about her getting an apartment. My friend said that apartments were expensive but that I had lucked out by being where I am so long. Well, first of all, she has no idea how much rent I pay. For the fun of it, I looked in the apt listings and my rent is in the range of other 1 br apartments in the area.
Anyway, I'm kind of mad about the pain/tenderness thing, and realizing that she's always assuming facts not in evidence, that she will actually argue with you about, and was wondering if I should say something, or just seethe in silence?3 AnswersFriends5 years ago
Its something about not looking out of a certain side of the house because that's the neighbor's yard and you're not respecting their privacy?8 AnswersEtiquette5 years ago
My great-grandfather was an obstetrician. We found a brown box somewhere in the 8 inches, by 8 inches by 8 inches range (just an estimate). It has a plug in, and then it has a cord with an odd-shaped lightbulb at the end. It was patented in 1913. Anyone have any ideas what this might be? My mom thinks it's a torture device, LOL.4 AnswersMedicine6 years ago
