  • Why believe in the watchtower?

I asked some Jehovah's Witnesses a similar question yesterday on this site and it seemed to me that they misunderstood my question so I ask more specifically.

No matter what bible you read you can have the same interpretation because you have been taught that's what it means but the question is who or what told you that's what it means. Those scriptures that the watchtower explains as Jesus being created never once plainly say Jesus was created. The watchtower insist on saying that is what is understood but no where does the Bible say that. Same thing with Jesus being the archangel Michael. Not one scripture says it but the watchtower teaches it. The 1914 Jesus thing is never once said in scripture and even most scholars would say the timeline that the watchtower teaches is wrong.

I go to the website and I read articles and in which people are qouted out of context, I know this because all you have to do is copy the the qoute and search it on google to find the whole qoute.

  • Do Jehovah's Witnesses know that the NWT released 1961 is different from the NWT out know?

Every time someone has disputed them on their contradicting false translation they change their version so it doesn't. For instance all the scriptures that say obeisance was done to Jesus used to say worship. The first and last scriptures were not capitalized. The "I Am" scriptures were changed later.

I guess the light got brighter.

The NWT was made to support doctrine not DOCTRINE WAS MADE TO SUPPORT THE BIBLE.

  • Do Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus was the first born or first created being?

Most JW's will teach Colossians 1:15 saying Jesus is the firstborn but then say He is the first created.

I'm loss there because if we interpreted the scripture like the watchtower does then it means Jesus was the first created yet the scripture says first born. When I look in Genesis all the animals and bugs were created not born. Me and you were born, not Adam and Eve.

  • Do Jehovah's Witnesses have to believe everything the Watchtower teaches?

I'm a trinitarian christian and I was talking to a Jehovah's Witnesses and as I was bringing up Watchtower teachings that I felt were unbiblical he said he didn't believe that either. I told him from what I studied about Jehovah's Witnesses you can't do that, you have to believe all their teachings are accurate. He said most of the Jehovah's Witnessess he knows don't believe everything the Watchtower teachings.

In my mind to believe in a religion is just that believe in it. If you don't then your not a believer.

  • Why do Jehovah's Witnesses give you the run around on any question you have about their religion?

You ask about the false prophecies. They say oh the watchtower made a mistake and apologized. But then they say we never made a prophecy we just said what the bible said. Well the bible never gives a date. Sorry to tell you and anyone else whether trinatarian or jw and/or anything else that says something is going to happen in the future that is a prophecy/prediction. Then if they are wrong.

You ask about how many Gods they believe in, well we believe in one almighty god and then a lesser god. No matter how you say it thats 2 gods. Whether he one is almighty and the other mighty its still 2 I repeat 2 gods. Even a blind person can see that.

  • Jehovah Witnesses, is Jesus a legitimate God or one of the False gods the bible talks about?

With answering please don't tell me Jesus is a real legitimate god but not the God, because Isaiah 43:10 specifically says no god before or after me. Anybody in the bible that was given the title god (lowercase g) was not a real god, look it up you'll see. Why do Jehovah's witnesses giving their thoughts and feelings. One person says Jesus is a representative another says Jesus was never worshiped. Do they even look at the greek? Do they ever wonder why the new world translation changes worship to obeisance only when referred to Jesus but when referred to God, the devil, and man its still worship. They keep saying look at the bible in context but you look it up not in what the new world translation says because that's what the watchtower says. Look it up in the greek and go to google translate and then see what it says. Or is google the devil to?

  • Why do Jehovah's Witnesses change worship to obesiance?

Out all the times it appears its obesiance when refers to Jesus other than that 2 other times then everywhere else its worship. How can you "translate" the same word to different words?

I was raised a christian but at a young age I came to the conclusion that it wasn't good enough to just believe stuff, I had to know why. I look at the Bible without chapter titles, footnotes, and publications to sway my thinking, and all I can see is the trinity.
