I'm trying to write a story.I want to write about a person who is hit by a car, but I'm having trouble finding out what injuries they would suffer (based on their height, weight, speed of the driver that hit them, etc.) I tried using search engines for more information, but the only seem to want to give me information about injury lawsuits. XD

I used to do workout videos at home, but due to the addition of new furniture and that I constantly seem to get interrupted by other members of the household, I decided to join a gym so I could feel a bit less claustrophobic and be able to focus.
Let me start off by saying I loved doing my exercise videos. After I finished them, by body felt tight and sore and like I was on the right track. But, like I said, it was irritating to do it with lack of space and with family members that can't mind their own business long enough for me to get a full workout in.
So, now, since I've joined the gym for those reasons, I've been going for a week now. I hadn't exercised in a long time before I started going, and I expected to feel the same sore and tight feeling that I got when I exercised at home.
Except for a little bit of soreness in my left arm (since it's not my dominant arm), I have felt practically nothing. This is so weird to be because, usually, when I try exercising after I haven't exercised in awhile, I feel really sore for a couple days after.
I try to set the machines to be fairly difficult, and I stay exercising in the gym for at least an hour, but I still don't really feel a burn and I don't know what I'm doing wrong or what I should change.
My routine so far has consisted of the treadmill, the elliptical, a 30 minute express workout, and some various other machines. Also, today I tried out the section of the gym that focuses solely on your abs, but that section just felt awkward, really. I walked away not really feeling like I got much out of it.
How should I change my routine and use the gym to my advantage?2 AnswersDiet & Fitness7 years ago
There's this person at work that, even though I'm never trying to compete with them, has to tell me ( and everybody else ) how wonderful he is at his job and everything else in life. Even if you have a hobby or something that you're into, he has to tell you that he does it way better and how you could never measure up to HIM.
I mean, it's obvious that eventually, someone, somewhere, is going to be better at a lot more things than I am ( it's not like it keeps me up at night), but why do I need to hear about how wonderful he thinks he is all the time? WHO CARES. Just do your job and be quiet about it! I mean, if he was as AMAZING as he claims to be at work, wouldn't he be managing the place by now?
I'm just trying to get through my life and get the things done that need to be done. I'm don't want to be in some ridiculous contest with him all the time. He finds any little thing to be egotistical about, which is really childish and irritating.

The leading cause of death for teens is car crashes. Many of these crashes were the result of speeding, which countless teens admit to doing because of peer pressure, impatience, the thrill of the moment, etc. And of course, there is no excuse.
How much do you think these fatalities would be reduced if teens were more obedient to speed limits and were more willing to travel at safer speeds?2 AnswersSafety1 decade ago
I get up to go to the bathroom way more often than normal people, and this has become a habit of mine. Is this how I got a hemorrhoid?
I don't have anal sex or anything like that. Never been through child birth. Never been sexually active, actually.....I'm just 17.

I'm trying to teach myself Japanese, but I'm not sure how to go about it because I've heard that if you learn the language too formally the natives will criticize you, and also if your slang is too off or too out-dated you may also receive some problems.
