  • will my tinnitus go away?

im 18 and developed a ringing noise in my right ear out of the blue 3 and a half days ago before i went to sleep. I've had an occasional ringing in the ear the lasted about 2-3 seconds VERY occasionally (roughly 10 times my whole life), i'm not sure if this is related. I've been to the doctors who have referred me to a ent specialist. I've heard about temporary tinnitus but will the ent be able to tell me how long it will last, if it is permanent.

Any educated answers will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  • Computer monitor interference and high pitch noise coming from inside computer?

I built my own computer the other week and this is the only problem i've had. I'm pretty certain that what i described in the title happens more often when there are more tasks running on the computer, it roughly happens for 3-5 seconds and usually occurs about every 5 minutes (can be a lot more or a lot less). I've not found a proper answer surfing forums, but it may be a grounding issue (i bought a cheap computer case), but it could have been me installing something wrong.

Details of the problem: screen interference - horizontal ripples across entire screen

high pitch noise: i think it's coming from the processor (might be incorrect)

*these two problems occur simultaneously as i said for about 3-5 seconds.

I can give specs of my computer if needed but if you have any advice please let me know!

    Thanks in advance!

  • do i need a quadcore processor?

i'm looking to buy a new computer and im confused when it comes to what i need regarding the processor. I'm looking for a fairly decent desktop computer to play games on (mainly league of legends) because my laptop is no longer good enough; is a dual core processor good enough for these type of games to run smoothly? and if so can i multi task on dual screens efficiently? as i say i'm not looking for a state of the art gaming computer and i'm not bothered about extremely high speeds.

The computer i'm thinking of buying at the moment is the hp pavilion p6-2469ea which is dual core AMD A8-5500 (3.2Ghz) with a nvidia geforce gt 620 dedicated graphics card (1gb) and 4gb Ram.

Would i need more than 4gb of ram aswell? any other advice would be appreciated!

  • Why won't Cydia won't open up on my iPhone 3G?

I jailbroke my iphone 3G on 4.1 firmware (using sn0wbreeze 2.1) earlier today so i could unlock it and put it a different sim card in, i activated my sim card and everything worked however when i tryed opening cydia for the first time it instantly closed - it didnt load at all. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I tryed jailbraking it again using the same method, still no luck though, had the same problem.

  • Would a normal sim card work in a second hand iphone?

I want to get a iphone 3G but they're pretty expensive so i was thinking... what if i got a second hand iphone and got a sim-only contract to go with it if i unlock the iphone? I've found a few deals that i can afford on sites like ebay and gumtree but i'm not 100% the iphone would work on the sim card. Just as an example so you know what i'm talking about, if i got this sim card http://www.tescomobilepaymonthly.com/product-page.... to go with the iphone would the 3G work or even would the network work properly. Similarly on the same website they have a deal for an Iphone only sim card: http://www.tescomobilepaymonthly.com/product-page.... is this the only one that would work? any adive would help. Cheers.

  • Can you stretch your ear after piercing it?

I got my ear pierced a week ago but i hate the stud, i bought a clear plastic spike which is a bit bigger than the stud to stretch it (its about 2mm) I realise it will hurt a little bit which i'm not bothered about but would it leave a scar or get infected or something? I don't really stretch my ear too big, probably not past 5mm (4gauge) after this because i want it to heal up after a year or so of having it stretched. any advise would be appreciated.
