Baby Boy Due 7/16/09!
I have a planned c-section on July 10th and I was just wondering how many people can be in the room with you. And are you able to hold your baby when it comes out? (After they clean him of course) I'm really worried that I won't be able to hold him and everyone else will. I know that sounds selfish. Thanks for your help.7 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago
Due to health issues of mine, my doctor and I have planned a c-section on the 10th of July. This is my first baby and I'm more nervous than anything. I think I've read that planned c-sections go a lot smoother than emergency c-sections. I'm mostly worried about the epidural/spinal block that will be given. I'd like to know how bad it hurts on a scale of 1-10. Also how is recovery for c-sections? How long did it take for you to get up and walking? And were you back to your normal self after you left the hospital? My mom will be flying in and I'd like to show her around the area, she's never been here. She's afraid I won't be able to since I'm having this surgery. I think I will be fine if I get up and walk around.
Thanks for your answers.
I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant with my first. I want the birth to be a planned birth. I've heard of people doing it to have their babies born on a certain day, but mostly I want to plan it so I can be ready. I truly hate surprises.
Has anyone else experienced feeling this way?
Did you ask your doctor to be induced on a certain day? How were the outcomes?
