I had a sore throat a couple of days ago but its all gone now. However, another pain has replaced it. It no longer hurts when im swallowing but there is a constant pain in my throat that doesnt seem to go away. My voice has become a little raspy too. Is this something I should be worried about or will it pass? (Im not the type of person that likes to go to the Doctors over a small matter)2 AnswersPain & Pain Management7 years ago

I want to do a different degree at university and still be a lawyer but I'm not completely sure how it works.
Do I do a GDL and an LPC after my degree and how long do they take?
At the moment I want to take Government and Politics, Economics and Philosophy and Ethics as my certain three choices for A Level but Im not sure if I should do French or English Literature (+ Turkish [its my home language so I can do it alongside Lit]) Because I've heard Unis highly regard French because Its a tough language but I really want to do English Lit
(Im hoping to take a PPE course at uni and then a conversion course at postgraduate to become a lawyer)2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)7 years ago
At the moment, applications for Sixth Forms have started, and I already know that I'm going to my schools one.
Originally, I wanted to take English Lit, History, Philosophy and Ethics and French for a levels to do Law at uni but Ive recently changed my mind.
Now, I want to do Government and Politics, Economics and Philosophy and Ethics but I'm not sure if i should do French or English Lit as my extra choice.
(Plus, as I also speak Turkish, should I take that as an A Level course too or do you think that five will be too much?)
Im hoping to do PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) at Uni and then take a conversion course into law.
Do you think that this is a wise choice?
Okay, this is a fantasy story that I'm writing where the characters have, mainly, made up names. (Some names are the original versions of names - e.g, Katherine = Aikaterine) and I need a made-up(ish) middle name for my character.
Her name is (Princess) Elana [INSERT MIDDLE NAME(s)] Lordel
The fantasy names I have in stock now are:
Astrad, Calarelle, Naryn (most of the names end with an A and I don't want another name after Elana with an A at the end - e.g. Elana Solina, Elana Meira, Elana Ashera, and so forth).
I use rinkworks name generator to get inspiration for names, that's where I got Calarelle and Chalia and Sarya from

Rose Elwood? Im not too sure on it because something seems to be missing and I know its nature based but I need it that way. Maybe a middle name would work? The middle name can be an old one, so she could be named after her grandmother
thanks, other suggestions are welcome5 AnswersBaby Names7 years ago
I need some inspiration for the name of my character in a story. She's a halfling (half-fey) so possibly more nature based names may be ideal.
However, I need her name to have a variant. For example, Katherine - Katy, because the 'Katherine' will be an older character, if you will call them doppelgängers - even though i assure you they are not - and I need a nature based name like that.
I was thinking that the surname could be Rosewood or Elwood but other suggestions are welcome!

I need patronymic names and surnames for the following characters:
1. Name: Ekaterina
Father's name: Dimitri
2. Name: Vasily
Father's name: Aleksandr
3. Name: Sofiya
Father's name: Konstantin
Is there a general rule for patronymic names and surnames (for their endings)? Because if I knew it would make my life a lot easier.
