  • How to make shin splints heal quickly?

I'm a boxer and I need to train for a fight but I can't as I have shin splints. How long will it take for them to recover? Also is it ok to do a couple of rounds on a speed bag as I've been doing that as I'm so bored sitting here with ice packs on my legs in front of the TV all day? Thanks in advance

  • Can I represent Ireland in the Olympics?

I'm an amateur boxer with a dream of going to the Olympics. I was born and raised in England to Irish parents from Wicklow. I feel more Irish than British. My father says I'm only british because I was born here. So would I be able to represent Ireland if I do get to the Olympics one day? Thanks in advance.

  • Could Houghton be an Irish surname?

My grandad always said that it was originally O'hEachain. But I looked it up and it was changed to Haughton and not Houghton. There is only one letter difference so could it be Irish? My Houghton's were Irish. I'm doing research on both sides of my family. Also was Hayden originally O'hÉideáin. What does this mean?? Thanks in advance.

  • Can McIntyre be Irish?

It was my great grandmothers surname and she was Irish from the Republic and not Ulster. I know it's usually Scottish but seeing as though she wasn't from Ulster could it be native Irish? Thanks in advance

  • Could Protestants marry Catholics in Ireland?

My nan was an Irish Protestant and my grandad was an Irish Catholic. They were both from the Republic. Wicklow to be precise. They moved to England apparently to get away from their families who were both not happy about their marriage. Why would this be? I found their marriage certificate on ancestry.com and it says that they were married in 1952 which I may be wrong here but was long before Protestants and Catholics were conflicting? So I guess my question is why do Protestants and Catholics dislike each other?? Thanks in advance.

  • I think I lifted too much weight?

I'm 15 and I just lifted 50 kg. I don't know what the technique is called but what I did was bend over grab the barbell and lifted it up to my chest three times. I was working out before the to with 20 kg dumbbells and various machines. I was down there with I mate so I guess I was showing off a bit. I felt kinda funny after doing it a bit dizzy. Also I don't know how much the barbell weighs on its own but I had 25 kg each side. Have I done myself an injury?? I know I'm stupid for doing it but any answer would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

  • I have sickness and diohreah for the second time in less than a month?

Last time I had diohreah was two days before Christmas and it lasted for two days. Now I have it again and the worst part is I have school in about 6 hours. My parents won't let me have time off for it because my attendance is now 87% due to impetigo. Is this my IBS that's causing it or do I have an underlying illness? Should I go to school? Thanks in advance
