I am an avid bicyclist and harley rider when I have the ability. About 16 years ago I was diagnosed with epilepsy which I was able to get over for about 7 years from age 20 until age 27. About 3 years I had a bad recurrence of my seizures that has continued to this day. In 2009 I joined up in a clinical trial procedure sponsored by Neuropace called the Responsive Neurostimulator, or RNS for short. It is an implant in my skull that runs 2 electrodes into my brain that stimulates the focal points of the seizures whenever a seizure starts in an attempt to stop them. 2 years ago I joined up with the Freemasons in an attempt to better my life and others around me. It has been the greatest thing I have ever done as I feel better about myself and have developed a higher respect for all those around me.
I’ve inherited a coachmen 25’ travel trailer, not sure if you’d call it a bunkhouse. It’s a model year of 82-84, not exactly certain. It’s a bumper pull. At the front it has a couch that folds out into a bed. As you go back, you have the sink and gas range on one side, the refrigerator on the other. Next, on each side you have single size bunk beds on each side, and the bathroom at the back, no bathtub, just a shower stall. It has no slide out.
I have tried finding information online about it, but can’t get anything exact on the model. I’d love to find an owners manual. I’m wanting to restore it, much is in good condition, so want to find any information I can on it.2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs3 weeks ago
I’m no expert in electronics, but I do toy around a little as a hobby. I’m familiar with the use of rheostats to vary resistance, but don’t really understand the reason for the third pin on a pot. What kind of applications are all 3 pins used for, and what function does it serve?3 AnswersEngineering4 weeks ago
I’ve only used a 270 when I’ve hunted deer, many years ago, it was my fathers, I was 14-16 years old. My dad was great with it, taking deer at 500 yards.
Nowadays, anyone younger than me insists the 30-06 is superior, and doesn’t believe me when I say the 270 is derived from a 30 06 casing. Can anyone tell me where the 270 excels and where it’s inferior to a 30-06?8 AnswersHunting1 month ago
My dad died 2 years ago, and many of his personal belongings were kept in many different places, so I’m still trying to find a lot of them. Yesterday I came across some of his parts from his 78 Electra glide that he wrecked years ago and he thought had been stolen. In there was an S&S two throat carburetor. I know I’ll never have a use for it, so thinking I’ll sell it. It needs to be cleaned and rebuilt, but all parts including intake manifold are there with no damage. I’m trying to figure out what it’s worth. I don’t want to end up selling it for way less than I could get from it. I’ve looked online, but can’t find much on people selling them and on value.3 AnswersMotorcycles1 month ago
My girlfriend has a lot of voicemails on her motorola g6 from a girl that was like a daughter to her. Her voicemail is completely full, and trying to find a way to transfer them to a computer. I’ve tried using Audacity to record them, but have had no luck. She’s now trying to figure out if there’s a way to send them to email. I know that there’s apps that forward new voicemails to email, but don’t know of any that can be used for old ones. I don’t believe she’s got visual voicemail on her phone. She uses a prepaid plan through Verizon.1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans2 months ago
I’ve developed a bad rut right beside my concrete driveway. It’s because after all of the rain, one side of my driveway now angles to one side, and so my vehicle slides off into the rut when driving in. I filled it with dirt, which only came back. I set paver bricks there, but the rut got bigger. Should I use a mixture of gravel and sand and tamp it? Possibly put quikrete on top, spray with water and let it set? The way it looks isn’t important, I’m just trying to stop the rut getting worse when it rains and also be able to get in my driveway without it being so rough4 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)2 months ago
When my dad died, included in his estate is a 26 foot bumper pull coachmen, I believe it’s a 1982 year. I found out my dad wanted me to have it. When it was parked at the family farm about 10 years ago, it needed work on the water lines, new carpet, a board on the floor was weak, and it’s had hail damage, but the propane system, and everything else inside was still functional, and no broken windows. I’m certain it needs new tires after sitting so long, and, until I can go look, not sure if mice have found a way in.
I’m considering fixing it back up to use on camping trips to nearby places, not needing to go long distances3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs3 months ago
I’ve been wanting to make refrigerator pickles with watermelon rind using cinnamon candy. I just got done cutting up a watermelon, then cut up the rind. One mistake, I forgot to peel it. I’ve always made refrigerator pickles from cucumbers and zucchini without peeling. Will they still work ok if I leave the skin on?1 AnswerOther - Food & Drink3 months ago
I have a smoker that my grandfather built over 40 years ago. It’s built on a small utility trailer, I believe 40” by 48”. It uses the small 4 lug 8” wheels. It’s a heavy smoker, probably really pushing the limits of the springs and tires. When I’ve pulled it, I don’t dare go over 50 mph.
My father always wanted to put a bigger axle on it. I agree with it. I’ve seen pickup bed trailers using the pickup axle, and it makes me wonder if I could use one from a small pickup, probably with an open differential. I have to check the exact dimensions, but is there anything particular that needs to be done to the axle to be used for this application?1 AnswerOther - Cars & Transportation4 months ago
In the house I’m renting, the breaker panel has fpe stab-lock breakers. I recently learned they are extremely dangerous and often fail. I found out that my dining room and garage are on the same 15 amp breaker, my refrigerator is plugged into that and I was running my air compressor for over 5 minutes before it tripped the breaker. That’s how I found out it was on the same breaker.
I’ve seen other manufacturers make stab-lok breakers. Is it only the federal pacific brands that are dangerous? Can the breakers themselves be replaced by a different brand and be safe? Or are all brands dangerous and is it necessary to replace the entire panel? I have no plans to use breakers with a higher amp rating than the wiring is rated for.1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs4 months ago
My father had 1/12 undivided section of land that he inherited from the family farm, it has my grandparents house plus 5 large steel butler sheds and other improvements. My uncle currently lives there, and owns the remaining interest of the section. There’s another tract of land along it my grandfather purchased and had powerlines run on, which my father had 1/12 of.
Since my dad passed away, his ownership was passed equally to us, so I own 1/48th undivided. I know I can only sell it to the others that have ownership. It’s of no use to me, as it’s all buildings, not field ground.
In these situations, how is the value affected, if I wanted to sell to my uncle for example. Is the value of what in inherited mean the house and other improvements add to the value of what I inherited? How would it be calculated?2 AnswersRenting & Real Estate4 months ago
I’ve had my firestick for over a year, never had many problems with it. Recently, when I go on YouTube to watch videos, it will disconnect after a few minutes, and when I go into network settings, instead of saying connected, it will say disabled, then I select to connect it and it will go between scanning, disconnected, disabled, and eventually it will connect. But then it will disconnect again, but it seems like it’s only when using YouTube.
It has the latest update, I’ve tried restarting it, unplugging it, and restarting my router even though I don’t have connection issues with any other devices. I’m really baffled how it seems to only happen on YouTubeYouTube5 months ago
I’ve been mixing my own e-juice, the easy part is getting the amount of nicotine and flavoring calculated and getting the pg/vg ratio right. I start with 48mg nicotine in a pg base, use an online calculator to find the amount of each ingredient and use my syringes to measure everything out to end up with 6mg nicotine. What I can’t quite figure out is the best percent of it should be my flavoring. I know certain flavors, like menthol, you use a lot less, but I’m trying to find a good starting amount for some of my less potent flavors1 AnswerBeer, Wine & Spirits6 months ago
I got a CZ85 pre B from my father. You rarely find much about them online. Besides being ambidextrous, I know there were some changes internally, but don’t know what. It shoots great, I love the gun. I’d love to find more info on it.Hobbies & Crafts6 months ago
I have planted cantaloupe, cucumber, zucchini and sugar baby seeds in peat pots in a mixture of potting soil and perlite about 2 weeks ago. My cucumbers have sprouted and are an inch tall. My cantaloupe and zucchini have started and have a very small sprout. But my 7 pots of sugar babies have shown nothing yet. I keep the soil moist without overwatering, sitting by a window, and it’s over 70 degrees in my kitchen. On sunny days when it’s warm out I’ve set them outside. They are planted 1/2” deep.
From what I understand, at 70 degrees they should sprout within 10 days, but I see nothing in the 7 pots. These are seeds I purchased, not from the ones I grew last year2 AnswersGarden & Landscape7 months ago
Was given this sewing machine by my mom. No owners manual. Searching around found out it was made by Toyota, also sold as a Morse 9500. My mother used it for years, and was able to sew almost anything, including some leather. I only know very basic sewing, no idea how to change any settings. Is there anywhere online that a manual is available for free? Does anyone know the years it was made? How much it sold for? Or any other info about it?2 AnswersOther - Home & Garden7 months ago
As a hobby I have an old AC 220V welder and have also built a propane forge, I don’t know a lot about it, learning as I go, just little projects.
A friend gave me some old leaf springs to work with, I’ve learned how heating in my forge removes the spring properties if I let them air cool
I know that you can’t weld springs to repair them very successfully. I’m only wanting to figure out how to be able to apply welds that hold, they aren’t going to be bearing weight or even function as a spring. Is there any process to be able to do this?1 AnswerDo It Yourself (DIY)8 months ago
Once in awhile I will get a bad case of acid reflux, there doesn't seem to be something in particular that triggers it, just seems to be out of nowhere. As it is running it's course, I will start to get a bad headache between my forehead and right temple that only starts to go away as the reflux does. It happens every time. Is this normal, and what causes the headache?2 AnswersPain & Pain Management8 months ago
We are at day 2 of the opening arguments, the managers have the rest of today and 8 hours tomorrow for their opening. It seems like they are telling the story, saying they need more witnesses, then doing the same thing, with nothing new. Senators from both sides have actually started to fall asleep.
It seems like they are going nowhere, wanting more witnesses, even though they claimed they had overwhelming proof. To me, it seems like the only thing that’s happening is their argument is becoming weaker and more desperate every minute and that it’s going to make the defense argument even stronger.7 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 months ago
