  • Small claims court advice.?

Long story short- I let a friend (or so I thought) borrow $900. He had a lot of unfortunate events happen and was pretty low on life. I lent him the money with a verbal agreement he would pay me back the money- we agreed on a month. Needless to say he never paid up, went Mia, avoided my calls. I called him from another number (recorded the convo) of mine and asked him about the money. He admitted to owing me $900 and was sorry for not paying. Family issues. He said he would pay me. Again a month goes by and nothing.

I was at a friends house and the friend who borrowed $900 called him. I answered and admitted (this time not recorded but infront of two other people). I told him we would be going to court if he did not make an effort to begin paying me. He was immediately raged and threatened that he would tell the judge it was drug money and they would drop it all together. I laughed. Being nice- I said I'd take payments. He said in 4wks he'd have money for me. I am concerned if I take him to court, pay extra court fees (96 + $30 per defendant) he will do this. There is communication between us regarding marijuana (we had both Rec smoked together for a period but I no longer participate in mj and won't until it's legalized). But there was no mention of the money being for weed for him or for me! I'm concerned I will still lose since our communication was somewhat criminalizing. Is the recording of him, plus our mutual friends as witnesses to the call enough?

  • Legal Medical advice.?

i wanted an iud, finally decided to go with it! Got the paraguard ( so I thought!). I signed for the paraguard and went along my way.

From day one of insertion- 7 months, I couldn't take it anymore. Headaches, nausea, cramps, couldn't even have bowel movements for the last week of it being in me. It was excruciating at the end. I was set on it working for me and finally accepted the iud was not working and I needed it removed.

The original obgyn I had insert the iud would not return my calls. Left me with no option but to find another.

I expressed to the new obgyn how disappointed I was it didnt work for me. I was excited about not using hormones (don't respond well to hormones) and was so dissappointed that it didn't work.

The new dr removed my iud and exclaims " sweetie this not paraguard, this mirena."

I was outraged and extremely upset.

For one, paraguard lasts nearly 5 years longer than mirena. 18 years of taking care of a child is expensive.

I specifically signed for paraguard (have proof). And there was no way to ever know I had anything other than what I thought was placed in me! Except for the fact it caused me so much pain to the point I couldn't have bowel movements. Sex was excruciating - had to be removed!

I would love to know my rights- I am not a sue you, type of person, but I am so angry and upset. I'm well aware paraguard is not 100% effective but it's what I signed for and would have fully accepted if I was to conceive with it.

  • Relationship insecurity?

Ok... So I am aware I am being insecure and maybe even jealous in some eyes.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a pretty short time - 4-5mo's. I've known him for a year or two (saw him on a daily basis for work lol was my manager /: )

    He is 31 I'm 22

He used to be married- now separated - at the time I was told he was completely divorced - came to find out he wasn't -_- so number one insecurity there- am I good enough? Am I a rebound? Did he give up hope and I was just there to deal with him? All these questions flood my mind.

I ran into a lot of trouble- bad friends- I had to move in with him an we just ended up likin staying together. He was there fr me when no one else was and I love him to pieces for that.

His best friend is a girl - they work for the same company. Diff locations. She's happily with someone and a super awesome person. But he'll make random little comments when her and her bf are over- comments I take to mean he's attracted to her . They call and talk. Etc. Nothing I actually honestly hve a prob with. I have no concerns she likes him. But I feel like they match so much better than we do. I will sit there and get so depressed thinking that he's just settling for me. He really wants her- someone like her at least and the feeling blows. All I can do is just go to sleep.

I just don't know how to rid myself of these feelings- I don't feel like we can talk about it- I scertainly don't want him to feel like I dislike her or don't want.

  • Ok so what's going on with this guy?

Alright so I've never asked this kind of question online! I've never had to.

There's this guy- I mean I like him, mainly just tryin to get to know him. He talks all the time so you would think it was easy. I'm pretty quiet for the most part but I'm def comfortable around him so I'm not shy at all.

We've been working together for over a year. Been talking for awhile now- couple months? And sexually active for awhile. I just am not wanting a relationship at this point!

He talks in so many damn circles, analogies, just not normal conversation to me. When I talk, I say what I'm thinking....

We've already done our "thing"... Which all he can do is grin and say " you're awesome" or what I consider childish little things to say. He cant get enough of holding me, touching me, being around me. I've never met a guy like this. They're all simple and easy to talk to and not so damn cuddly. or Not so weird. I'm just wondering if his "weird"ness is common? Normal? If it goes awAy

  • please help... chem lab?

A pair of students found the temperature of 100. g of water to be 25.6°C. They then dissolved 8.15 g of KOH in the water. When the salt had dissolved, the temperature of the water was 45.6°C.

    (a) Calculate ΔT for the water.

    i got.....20. °C

    (b) The dissolution was

    endothermic

    exothermic

    neutral

    tropic

    i got endothermic

    (c) The water

    gave up energy

    absorbed eneryg

    was inert

    idkkno guess

    (d) Based on this observation alone, the entropy

    must have increased

    deceased

    didnt change

    cant tell

    i say increased

    (e) Give the reaction for the dissolution of the salt in water. (Use the lowest possible coefficients. Include states-of-matter under the given conditions in your answer.)

    KOH(s) → K+(aq) + OH-(aq)

    (f) When 8.15 grams of KOH is dissolved, how many moles of cation are produced?

.145 mol is what i said

How many moles of anion are produced?

    i said 1mol

    (g) If triple the amount of KOH was added to 100. g of water, what would happen to the temperature change?

The temperature change would be twice as large.

The temperature change would be three times as large.

The temperature change would be one-half as large.

The temperature change would be one-third as large.

The temperature change would be four times larger.

The temperature change would be the same.

    would appreciate any help...

i dont know how to break this down???

Give the IUPAC name for each of the following compounds. (Hint: Do not forget to use commas to separate locant numbers from each other and to use hyphens to separate locant numbers from letters.)

    (CH3CH2)2CHCH2C(CH3)3

    (CH3)2CHC(CH3)2CH2CH(CH2CH3)2

  • chemistry pleaseeee explain help!!!?

Rate the relative polarity of the following bonds. Use numbers 1-4 with 1 = least polar and 4 = most polar.

    C-H=1?

    C-Cl=

    C-C=

    C-O=4

Draw the Lewis structure of dinitrogen monoxide, N2O,that minimizes formal charges. There are two resonance forms, but only one places a negative formal charge on the most electronegative atom. (Assign lone pairs, radical electrons, and atomic charges where appropriate.)

cant figure out the ER part? i got 16VE and 4SP

Determine the formal charge on each labeled atom in the following partial Lewis structures. Include the sign of all nonzero formal charge even when positive. Note that lone pairs have been omitted, but each atom obeys the octet rule. Input format: +2, -1, etc.

    CO3

i cant figure out the charges on each ion. . .

Use formal charge or oxidation states to determine the charge on each of the following ions. Note that lone pairs have been omitted, but each atom obeys the octet rule. Be certain to include a + or - in each. No marks will be shown for this problem.

    NO ion charge???

Draw the Lewis structure of phosgene, COCl2. (Assign lone pairs, radical electrons, and atomic charges where appropriate.)

also the ER on this one? i figured out SP and VE

any help would be appreciated. I am going to ask the teacher but, if im making a stupid mistake then i dont wanna bug him but just on the questions that i have no idea.
