I am a manager for a non-profit and I am in the process of doing end of year evaluations for all of my members. I have an issue with one of my staff that I am not sure how to address in a professional way. This man is EXCELLENT at his listed responsibilities. He works great with clients, is open to feedback, and is very professional. However, he is consistently asking about if certain training, events, etc. are optional. We will have a group training and his initial question is always "Is it mandatory?" quickly followed by "Are we expected to stay for the whole time?" He also tends to shy away from team building activities which are a big part of our organizational culture.
I am not sure how to state this as a professional concern since it is not an issue that is explicitly stated in his contract. However, it always leaves a bad taste in my mouth as his manager and makes me question his commitment to our organization and specifically our team. Any ideas on how to address this as his contract is ending and I would like for him to develop professionally and not continue this behavior in his next position?3 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment2 months ago
So my ex boyfriend and I broke up in April. We met tailgating two years ago and have the same group of friends that we tailgate with. He hasn't come to any of the games yet this season and people keep asking me about him. We haven't talked since April but I am thinking about reaching out to let him know people want him to come and that I'm fine with it.
I don't want to sound like a ***** and have it come off like he has my "permission" but I want him to know I'd like him there if he wants to come. What do I text?3 AnswersSingles & Dating11 months ago
I have been having some pretty bad shoulder pain lately. Whenever I move my arm across my chest or straight up or out, it causes a shock of pain down my whole arm. There is also a noticeable click or pop whenever I do this. It's a little red or discolored, but that is probably because I keep touching my shoulder a lot. Any ideas of what might be wrong?1 AnswerPain & Pain Management7 years ago
There is a guy that I really want to ask me to prom. It's his prom so I can't ask him, so please do suggest that. We see each other pretty much everyday but not for a real long time, but we do talk. We have been friends for a while but I really want to see if I can make it more. Any ideas?9 AnswersSingles & Dating9 years ago
So I was talking to my ex-boyfriend and we said some pretty nasty stuff to each other. He basically said he only wanted to use me for some sort of friends-with-benefits type of thing. I sort of flipped out on him. Called him an a** and that I never wanted to talk to him again. I feel bad now and just want to go back to being friends. Ideas on how I can go about that?1 AnswerSingles & Dating9 years ago
My ex boyfriend has been texting me lately want to get back together. We broke up because he became interested in another girl. Whenever we are together, even in a group, he is sort of all over me, handsie and what not. We went out for about a year and I really do care about him. Think it's worth another chance?1 AnswerSingles & Dating9 years ago

I was somewhat with this one guy last year. We broke it off after a few months but we never got too serious. In the middle of the summer, I asked him if he still had feelings for me and he said yes, considering I still have feelings for him. I told him we shouldnt do anything until fall since neither of us were home for the majority of the remaining summer. So i asked him a few weeks ago if he thought that we should try to pick things up again and he said not to? Am i missing something? Is this ever gonna work out of should I just give up?1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade ago
so i asked this girl out, and she said yes. we have been friends forever and we have a lot of the same friends too. problem is, we haven't gone out any where yet and she doesnt want to tell anybody about us? does she really want to date me?3 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade ago
ok, so i have this friend and he told me last year that he liked me and he doesnt seem like he has changed his feelings about me. Now, after some time to think about it, i realize that i may have feelings for him too. The problem here is, his family and my family are very good friends and it would seem awkward to date him since i know his family so well. Especially telling our parents that we are now dating would be extremly awkward? what do you guys think? could this work out, and if so, how can we go about this.1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade ago
