  • I constantly feel panicked like something big and bad is coming? Help!?

I have always had high anxiety, I even have suffered from trichotillomania since I was 9 and I'm now 18, but lately I feel really weird. I constantly feel on the verge of panic, like something very big and very very bad is coming. My heart just speeds up sometimes and I feel jittery, like I am forgetting to do something important to prevent whatever the big bad thing is. I even feel this when I'm exhausted sometimes or after ive excercised so I know it's not excess energy. I don't know what to do, I can't take it anymore, it's feels like the whole world is hurtling towards something really bad and I'm the only one who notices it though my logic overrides me and tells me everything is fine and there is nothing I need to do and nothing bad is coming. I need help, I can't take this feeling much longer, it's like I'm constantly anxious about SOMETHING when I can't even pinpoint a something to be anxious about! Help!

  • What steps do I need to take to get into AFROTC at A&M?

    1) I Am a senior in highschool in the top 10% and am in NHS, athletics, etc.

    2) I do NOT want a scholarship into ROTC, I just want to be a normal cadet.

    3) I have no idea where to even begin! Do I apply first and just sign up for it as a class after I get accepted? Do I have to send in something to be in ROTC like a specified ROTC application? How does it all work?? What steps do I need to take?

  • My parents won't let apply for and ROTC scholarship in college and go into the Airforce after it like I want?

They just don't understand my decision. Im an 17 year old female, so I still live under their jurisdiction for the next month and a half until my 18th birthday, but they just don't understand. I've heard the call and they won't let me answer it. I have talked to my mom and want to find a recruiter but she won't let me. I am in the top 10% of my school and very involved, including in athletics, and really want an ROTC scholarship. She says I need to research it and she doesn't realize I have. I want to be a doctor so after college I'd go to medical school through the airforce. She doesn't realize that it would be a great choice for me and save her money, and that I want to do this. She says she is worried they will ship me off to Afghanistan or something. I have made my decision but I can't go through the application process and the scholarship process without her support. I don't know what to do to make her understand this is the path for me.

  • Can I be in Airforce ROTC and apply for an ROTC scholarship even though I was not In highschool ROTC? ?

I am in great physical condition and can mile in about 7:20, and have a 4.5 GPA. I have never done highschool ROTC because I'm on my schools varsity volleyball team and didn't have a way to fit in in. So can I go into ROTC in college? I really want an AFROTC scholarship, but do you think they will give it to me if I wasnt in highschool ROTC? I have great leadership skills and was even the JV team captain my sophomore year and have completed several dual credit and AP classes and exams as well as am in the student intern program at the local hospital. Still, will they consider me for a scholarship when I have never been in ROTC?

  • Is the USA air force right for me?

Im 17 year old female junior in high school. I want to become a medical professional. Im 5'5 and weigh 135 lbs. Im an athletic build. So I was wondering, is the air force right for me? If I talk to a recruiter does that mean I have to allow myself to be recruited? And if I want to become a medical professional, should I go to college first and then join the air force or is it best to join it after I have my undergraduates degree?
