  • Eyelashes growing rapidly... why?

I've noticed recently my eyelashes have been growing like crazy... to the point where they are coming in at the inside corners of my eyes and growing inwards. Anyone have any idea at all why this is happening? I'm 20, female, and never use any makeup or products on my face.... so weird.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Am I growing Thai peppers?

I bought a hot pepper plant at the farmer's market, but there were no tags as to what kind of peppers they are. The man that grows the plants is deaf, mute, and autistic. His mother takes care of the prices, but has no idea what types of plants he grows.

The pepper plant is small, and the peppers on it are about the size of your thumbnail, maybe a bit larger. They are oval in shape, start out red, then turn to black.

Does anyone know what type of peppers these are?

    Thanks.

  • Looking for a grant for women in small business...?

In recent searches, I've only found government grants available to colleges and large corporations. Where might I find government grants available to women in small businesses?

    Thank you

  • Reading "The God Delusion"...?

I'm reading "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins (finally). I've always heard it's a must read and recently bought it. Pretty boring so far, only in the first chapter- but he has good points.

Are any other works of his well reccomended by R&S atheists, or is this as good as it gets?

I will finish reading of course, I have high hopes for this book.

    Thanks.

  • The Story of Chinaman's Hat?

I'd like to find an online full-story version of The Story of Chinaman's Hat by Dean Howell. I've tried many online libraries and it isn't listed on any of them. Any links are greatly appreciated.

  • Non-Christians: Your favorite thing about Christmas?

I love seeing the lawn decorations- especially lawns that have the neon manger scene with the santa on a motorcycle right next to it.

*Christians can answer too, of course- but you might not have as much fun...

  • Those of you that are pro-life...?

To those of you that are 'pro-life', do you really see pro-choice as "pro-death"?

To me, pro-choice is simply letting a woman choose- it's not making her get an abortion.

I'd like to know your opinions on this- thanks

  • Financial Aid- Completely Gone?

I am attending a community college- a few days ago I had about 6,500 dollars in my account. 3,500 of that was financial aid, both fall & spring semester. Now all that is left is the 3,000 I had in scholarships- and I still owe the same amount of money for classes.

What is going on here? I've called the school and they are no help.

  • Am I a "Near Death" Reject?

I have heard people talk about near death experiences so many times- the 'white light' and such... I've almost died once from a burst brain aneurysm and never once 'saw jesus'

I don't believe in such experiences now- I think they are wishful thinking & caused by oxygen loss. At the time I was a Christian, however.

Any guesses on why I never saw the 'white light'? Just curious on opinions, no serious soul searching going on right now....

  • R&S Movie Critique....?

I wanted to see the new movie "Religulous"- I know it's already out in a few places. I'd see it without asking, but for $10 a pop, bad movies just aren't worth it.

Has anyone seen it? What do you think?

  • Corporal Punishment....?

I'm doing an argument paper in 111- on corporal punishment (spanking children). I'd like to hear your opinions, especially the side I oppose. (I'm against)

You don't have to state your religious beliefs- but if it influences your opinion, by all means, share.

Is spanking children morally right or wrong?

  • Address/ PO box of authors...?

I would love to write a letter to Stephen King. How would I be able to find an address of his? There are 'fan websites' for many authors, none of which list addresses.

    Thanks

  • If there were no laws regarding torture...?

...do you think some religious groups would still tie people to stakes and burn them?

I think there are some crazy extremists that would go to town on it....

  • Is it a sin to be Heterosexual?

Just wondering. There seems to be so much talk about being homosexuals, the heterosexuals may be getting jealous.

  • Someone explain to me- original sin...?

What exactly is it? I'm an atheist, so I was never really introduced to the concept. I would love if someone could explain to me without the biblical quotes, unless you honestly think it makes sense.

    thanks

  • Church party = Exorcism?

Let me introduce myself as an atheist.

I was invited to go to a summer- themed party at my boyfriend's church. I agreed to go- "what could possibly go wrong"? I thought.

Now I realize once they find out I am an athiest (they can smell it right when you walk through the door), I may find myself facing multiple conversion attempts.

Your opinion on how to handle this, please.

Should I have a bit of fun, go wild and act possesed by the devil, or should I be respectful and bored?

(No offense towards Christians at all, trying to spark some interesting discussion)

  • Another question on proof...?

Lots of questions today about proof of God- I would like to know (respectfully)-

Other than the Bible, what proof is there of God? What (if anything) would Christians follow if such a book did not exist?

I don't consider "life" or anything that simplistic a logical response, just to let you know. Life certianaly could have come from something else.

I suppose this question is mainly for the Christians out there...

    thanks
