  • Why does our ball python have air bubbles under it's scales?

At school, we have a pet ball python, and he has recently had physical changes. Hes scales near his belly have turned pink and he has bubbles under his scales. They are soft bubbles and if you touch them the bubble moves. He doesn't act much different but We're worried about him, his tank isn't too hot so we don't know what it could be. Help??

  • Why is my finger red, swollen, and warm?

For about a week, I've noticed my right middle finger has been sore, swollen, and warm. I've showed my mom who is a nurse but doesn't think it's a big deal. I think it hurts a little less but it just started having puss from the side of my nail. There is no actual cut but it seems to be coming from under my nail. Advice? :/

  • What is wrong with my throat?

A few days ago i got a sore throat, and now it does not hurt but feels almost puffy, and i feel it when i swallow. I've also been really tired lately. I showed it to my sister and she told me it looked really wierd. I was totally freaked out when i saw it in the mirror. there's a small area above my uvula like one inch of red blotchy bumps, and one white spot. It's really starting to freak me out, i called my mom (a nurse) and she said it sounds like some kind of virus. She's going to be home in about an hour and then look at it, but she just told me to lie down and drink alot of fluids. I just want to go to the doctor, but until then, what do you guys think? Have you had these symptoms?

  • How to stop my dog from biting strangers?!?

So my border collie has recently bitten two men that came to our door. We live on the farm and she is outside most of the time so i cant just keep her away from people that come in their cars. One time a man was delivering our wood chips and she jumped up and bit him, and the other time our neighbour came over to give us a card. She's never aggressive with us, and she even goes over to our neighbor's houses and plays with their children and has never been aggressive. But when they come to our house she gets really over protective and bites. And she doesn't bite softly, she made marks on our neighbor. I really don't want to put her down but if she keeps biting we'll have to either put her down or give her away. Please Help!

  • How to stop fighting rats?

So i asked before how to help a mourning rat because i had a rat that passed away and his cage mate became depressed , they all said to get a new rat. So i bought a new rat who is four months old and about half Alejandro's size. I started introducing them slowly, but then when i put them in the same cage Alejandro started attacking him, he actually drew blood. So now they are in separate cages, but i only had a drawer type thing to put the new rat in. it's a lot like a fish tank, but i don't want to keep him there, so is there any way to stop them from fighting? Because otherwise I'm going to have to give him back to the pet Store. Please help!

  • Can I safely hold cockatiel chicks?

So my cockatiels had 3 chicks, since the parents are not friendly towards people, can i hold the chicks without the parents sensing something wrong and abandoning the chicks? I know that the "if you touch a baby bird, the parents will smell human scent and abandon them." Is not true, but i just want to be safe.

  • How can I help a mourning rat?

Yesterday my rat Lima Bean passed away. Now his cage mate Alejandro seems really depressed. At night they used to run around and play together, but now Alejandro just sits in the corner. I want to help him but i don't know how. I also don't want to buy him another cage mate, because I've been trying to have less animals. How can i help him get back to his old self?

  • Why isn't my cockatiel sitting on her eggs?

My cockatiels have been mating for weeks, and the female finally laid her first egg. I know that some females wait until the last egg before they start laying on them, and that they lay one every other day. But she was already taking turns with her mate sitting on it for most of the day, and then she completely stopped. So i was wondering if its normal for hens to start the incubation, then stopping, is normal, or if she's just not an experienced enough yet, since this is her first clutch.

  • Why did my pet rat bite me?

Yesterday, one of two of my rats was at the edge of the cage by the bars, so i stuck my finger in, and pet him. Then all of a sudden, he bit me! and really hard! i quickly pulled out my finger, and it was cut and bleeding. He's never bitten before, hes always been so sweet so i was really surprised. So i was just wondering, why did he bite me?
