I have recently gone from walking 3-5 miles a day to incorporating jogging. I have serious pain on the inside of my right knee. I have never had knee problems before. I've made sure I'm stretching but the pain has gone from just while I jog to all day everyday. I need suggestions. Would a generic knee brace help? Is there such a thing? Any help is appreciated.1 AnswerPain & Pain Management10 years ago
I have a 7 month old daughter who is exclusively breastfed (she has recently started 1-2 meals per day of solids although I did drop her solids back when I realized she wasn't nursing so well). She recently went through what I NOW believe was a strike and I didn't realize at the time how my milk supply was/would suffer. Now, my supply is significantly lower than it has been or should be. I do NOT want to have to supplement with formula if I don't have to, but I also don't want to hurt my daughter. It has been recommended that I use fenugreek and drink Mother's Milk Tea. I have both and have had my first dose of each. I'm curious if anyone out there has use either or both products after their supply has already started to dwindle. Do I have good reason to think it might not work? Or should it work even though I had a good supply, but now it's dwindled. I appreciate any of your comments/suggestions. I feel awfully anxious.7 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago
my 3 month old daughter bucks and squirms and fights me when she nurses on one side but not on the other. She will eat from both sides but she makes it really difficult when nursing on the one side. What's the deal?4 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago
I work out 5 nights a week for 1 1/2 - 2 hours...running, kickboxing, resistance machines, bike. I eat decent (varying between 1700 and 2100 calories and 25-30 grams of fiber per day), but I'm hungry ALOT and I've gained about 5 pounds since December. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it??
I'm just wondering if there's any NEGATIVE affect to working out consecutive days other than the risk of strain or sprain or other injury. Is it more beneficial for physique, appearance reasons to work out consecutive days or skip days. Thanks for your input!! :)2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade ago
Ok, so here's the deal. I do an hour of resistance machines Mondays and Fridays, an hour of kickboxing Tuesdays and Thursdays and Yoga for an hour on Wednesdays. I eat whole foods (fruits, veggies, low fat cheese, whole grains, etc.) in 6 or 7 small meals each day, but in the past month, I've managed to gain 3.2 pounds. Is this truly b/c of muscle or am I maybe not getting enough calories and my body's in "starvation mode"? I appreciate any input! Thanks! :)4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade ago
I know that if a person eats too few calories, their body goes into "Starvation Mode" where it hangs onto everything it gets b/c it feels as though it will starve, therefore negating some or all actual weight loss. What is the number of calories/day that that process begins to happen and are there other things besides calories (i.e. fat, carbs, etc.) that are involved?1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade ago
Our heating element just burned out in our dryer. It's about 5 years old. Would it be cheaper to have someone come fix it? I have no idea how much that might cost. Thanks!7 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade ago
