4 AnswersDental1 decade ago### magnetic flux question?

A long, straight wire carrying a current of 2 A is placed along the axis of a cylinder radius=.500 m, length= 3.00 m. Determine the total magnetic flux through the cylinder.

I am not sure what to do, whether to find the field, or since the field is parallel to all cylindrical surfaces, if the magnetic flux is just zero?

1 AnswerPhysics1 decade ago### how can you determine the magnetic flux through a cylinder?

a long straight wire carrying a current of 2.00A is placed along the axis of a cylinder of radius .5m and a length of 3.00m. determine the total magnetic flux through the cylinder

If a boat is traveling at 3.3 mi/hr at 62.5 degrees north of west relative to the river, and the river has an eastward velocity of 1.25 mi/hr, how far upstream will the boat be when it crosses the river which is .505 mi wide?

I know that the answer is 249 feet, but I just can't figure out how to do this problem, any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Hello, I am taking calculus II, and we are studying error bounds, and approximation of partial fractions. I am utterly lost. How do you find K (also known as M)? and why do you use the smallest value of the second derivative at a point?!

this website gives an example of what I don't understand:

3 AnswersMathematics1 decade ago### Physics problem! Torque! please help me!?

a 70 kg stunt man intends to walk to the end of a uniform 10 m long plank which extends horizontally over the edge of a roof. If the mass of the plant is 150 kg, determine the maximum amount of plank that can overhang the roof and have the system still be in static equilibrium. Note: at the point that the board would begin to tip only a point at the edge of the roof makes contact with the board.

I have tried to do it, her is what I did:

Sigma Torque=Fh(r1)+CG(g)(5m)=0

from adding the forces acting in the y direction, I found the force of the house acting on the board to be 2156.

so my equation becomes

2156(r1)-7350=0

2156(r1)=7350

r1=3.4

but now does this mena that the board is 8.4 meters off of the roof?!?! help me please! I don't know what to do or if I am doing it right. any help will be much appreciated! thank you!

do you have to weigh at least 100 lbs to begin menstruating?

5 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade ago### menstruation problems?

I'm 17, about a year or so ago I was having body issues and I went from being 4 ft 10 inches and 87 pounds to 4 ft 10 inches and 79 pounds. now, I'm up to about 92 pounds. While I was having issues I stopped having my period. Now I'm up to a healthy weight, one I have maintained for about half a year, but I am still not getting my period. I'm really worried what my amenhorrea will do to my health, but I don't understand why I haven't begun menstruating again. I excersize quite a bit, but I don't think excessively, play sports, have practice 5 times a week and usually run for about 30 minutes once or twice a week. thank you!
