  • Effexor, depression, ex relationship question?

Ok, so the long and short of it is that my child’s father and I are not together. Doesn’t matter why at this point, who did what, etc….Water under the bridge, let’s move on. I’m sure he has his gripes as I do mine.

I have sole custody, he can still see her whenever he wants but under supervision (not because of anything nefarious). He pays no child support, however, nor do I want him to. I make more than enough to support my child’s needs as well as my own. So custody and support are not issues.

Here’s the issue: He suffers from serious clinical depression. Has for years. For the past 3 yrs he’s been taking Effexor 175mg per day. Whenever we’ve had to discuss something serious, a few days later I have to remind him of the whole discussion. He claims not to remember, but “it’s because of the medication”. I think it’s an excuse because I tend to hear verbatim about something if someone at work has ticked him off.

  • Bet you didn't know this?

Did you know that in the human body there is a nerve that connects the eyeball to the anus?

It's called the Anal Optic Nerve, and it is responsible for giving people a crappy outlook on life.

If you don't believe it, try to pull a hair from your butt and see if

it doesn't bring a tear to your eye

  • Is it just me, or has the world become just one big blue circle of intolerance, hate, and full of selfish ego?

    centric beings?

Seriously, even on this forum, you have people pretending to ask questions, just to bash a certain group with their own philosophy.

Or you have people asking serious questions, just to have some idiot answer with something rude and asanine.

Or you have people wanting to excude other's from answering in a section just because they're not part of a particular group.

The more I observe people, the more I lose my faith in them. Seems most are only out for themselves, to get their jollies at someone else's expense, etc. Especially, for me, it's truest in my observation of men.

Anyone seeing the same thing? Thoughts on root causes? Potential fixes? Oh and fanatics, puleeese, this is not a religious question. Keep the soap box home.
