I recently purchased a WinTV-HVR 1950 by Hauppauge and I'm having difficulties setting this device up.
My most important question is: can this even record PS3 gameplay?
Next; can anyone tell me a tutorial on how I would set this up?
If you can answer any of these questions, I would appreciate it.
*I heard that the RCA cables from the PS3 connect to the WinTV-HVR. Now, the WinTV-HVR is connected to the PS3. Then, you connect the WinTV-HVR to a computer via USB. I'm well aware of this part. What I'm asking is how do you set it up to record PS3 gameplay in the first place? I can't find a way to connect the WinTV-HVR to the PS3 while still having the PS3's RCA cables still connected to the TV. (I use a TV that requires RCA cables) If the PS3's RCA cables aren't connected to the TV, I won't be able to record in the first place.*
I cannot access certain websites in schools therefore the best thing to do would be to save files on the internet. I currently do not have a flash drive. Also, I cannot access Yahoo!, Gmail, or any other email websites in school.
So besides for me using emails or a flash drive, is there a way I could save files? On a website, for example?6 AnswersProgramming & Design10 years ago
I understand that most of the Hauppauge PVR products are too old to work with the PS3 and many people tell me to look at newelectonx HD PVR but I can't seem to find that either. What would help me is a link to the product as well as the product's purpose. For example. I need a PVR that can record PS3 gameplay to a computer..
Also, I have a TV that consists of RCA cables and if no PVR works with such a TV, please tell me so I can go buy a new TV.
I've heard that any Hauppauge HD PVR cannot work with a TV that only consists of RCA (composite) cables. I'm not sure if this is true. In the following link, there is an Hauppauge HD PVR that shows it may work with RCA cables.
My question is; is this true? Does Hauppauge HD PVR not work with a TV that has RCA cables?
The link to the PVR is above.2 AnswersOther - Electronics10 years ago
I'm not exactly sure if this is right, but I think that HD PVR only work with USB cables and not RCA cables. But if I simply bought a cord that converts RCA cables to USB cables, will I be able to purchase an HD PVR and use it for my TV that only works with RCA cables?1 AnswerPlayStation10 years ago
If I wanted to join the Army and my high school only offers NJROTC (Navy), does that mean I cannot join the Army? Or does that just mean that I will be learning about things in the Navy, that are irrelevant to the Army and would you recommend that I switch schools to one that offers an AJROTC?5 AnswersMilitary10 years ago

Whenever I try to connect, it says "The settings saved on this computer do not match the requirements needed to connect" or something similar to that.
Also, whenever I take the password off and leave it insecure, it connects just fine.
The only way I can connect is by using an Ethernet Cable from the router and my laptop.1 AnswerComputer Networking10 years ago
I've researched a lot on this topic but still, I require assistance. There is only one part that I am confused about. A lot of people say "connect to the internet and put the IP address".
Put the IP address where?!
Please give me instructions with as much detail as possible.
Thank you!2 AnswersSecurity10 years ago
