  • iPhone running app that lets you control your speed?

I'm looking for an app for iPhone (don't mind paying) that lets you regulate your running speed. So for my workouts i do 6 mins jogging at 9kph, then 5 mins at 10kph and 4 mins 11 etc.

Is there an app that you don't have to constantly check that like regulates your speed. Maybe one that alerts you when you deviate too much from the speed you should be going at? Bit picky I know but worth a shot at asking!

  • Late pay - where do I stand legally?

I was working for an events company over the summer with a zero contract hours job. My first round of pay was due on September 23rd and is still yet to be paid. When I call the company, which is UK-based, they continually tell me to email their payments department in the Netherlands. A complete shambles, these guys have only replied to 1 out of my 6 emails and the reply was not helpful at all.

It's now got to the point where I've had to borrow from parents, ask for extensions on uni bills and basically I can't really go on much longer without this money. At what point can I take legal action? In the contract they clearly state that they will pay once every two weeks and the pay days are listed on the staff website.

  • Could I get a speeding ticket (UK)?

I was driving along a 30 road at about 38/39 and I drove past a parked police car. I wasn't pulled over, and the car stayed stationary after I drove past. Is there a chance of me getting a speeding ticket?

    Cheers

  • What's the song from the latest Dirty Sexy Money advert?

It's the one which starts "being rich doesn't protect you from anything, does it?", and the song is neither Farewell to the Fairground nor Money Honey. It's driving me crazy!

    Thanks

  • Do waistcoats have to match the suits you wear them with?

I've got a dark grey suit and I want to buy a waistcoat - does it have to be the exact same material, colour and style of the suit, or can it be slightly different? If it is different, which colour should I go for?

  • How do I fix my CD drive?

Up until recently my CD (also DVD) drive on my computer has been working without any problems, but recently, it's been playing up and doesn't recognise anything... I've tried music and games and it doesn't do anything. When I look under My Computer to try and find the drive it isn't there...

    Any ideas?!

  • How do I treat this knee pain?

I have a knee pain whereby my knee cap hurts when I bend my leg. When my leg is stretched out there is no problem, but when I run or bend it I feel pain.

I've tried an "Infraphil" IR lamp (3 x 10 minutes per day), but what else should I do?

  • My Internet won't connect?

I am a client computer - connected to the host by a wireless (Belkin) network. The host can access the Internet, and although the network is working (we can share files and a printer), I cannot connect.

All my equipment (router, modem, adaptor) is brand new, but when I look at the network settings on my computer there is a message saying "invalid IP address" and the address shows up as 0.0.0.0. (The computer is set to acquire the IP address etc. automatically).

I have tried using the MSDOS ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew commands but an error message appears:

"This operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation".

The network always tells me it is "acquiring network address".

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

  • I have a problem with my IP address and networking?

My computer is a client computer on a wireless network, and at the moment my host can access the Internet but I cannot. On my PC, my network says "connected" and is sending and receiving bytes as normal, but I cannot view websites.

When I try to repair the connection, it tells me "Cannot renew IP address" and the IP shows as 0.0.0.0.

I have tried going into MSDOS and using the ipconfig /renew function, but it returns

"This operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation"

I would like to know what the actual problem is, and if possible, the steps I should take to solve it.

    Thanks

  • How can I get up the really tall buildings in London?

I'm talking mainly about "The Gherkin", Canary Wharf and the BT Tower, but any answers about skyscrapers would be great!
