which town is the cheapest and most convenient to stay to explore lake district? We depart london on 26 April for lake district ( we haven't decided where in lake district yet) and leave on 29 April. We are dependent on public transport and have a flight to catch from Manchester on at 6.30p.m on 29 April. Trains are very expensive and Megabus doesn't seem to go there . We would prefer a place on the lake 555 route.2 AnswersOther - United Kingdom8 years ago
