I have a broken xbox 360 on my hands. I attempted to fix it by doing the "xclamp" fix, but it did not work. Would a place like ebay be the best place to sell the broken parts?
Since I do not have an xbox 360 to play with now, I am now forced to look for a new system. There are three options, the arcade, pro, and elite. I already have the component output cables, network cables, 20 gig hard drive, wireless controller, cheap wired controller, headset, and xbox live gold. Since I have all these accessories, would the 360 arcade be the best option? Am I able to attach the old hard drive or is there something which prevents me from doing so? Is there any real difference other than backwards compatibility between the two?

Should I download Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time onto my Wii or should I buy an N64 and buy the actual game?
I have never played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time.
I was wondering if I should buy an N64 to get the experience of playing it on the console, or if the Wii will be good enough.12 AnswersNintendo Wii1 decade ago
I want to get some quality speakers once and for all.
I have two options:
1) Get a surround sound system set up (already have, but not using) (Creative Inspire GD580 47 Watts 5.1 Speaker)
2) Get some nice wired headphones.
Now I know that the surround would probably sound better, but since I don't know a lot on audio, it would be hard for me to set up. Therefore, I think that I would prefer a good set of headphones.
Now a few questions :)
Noise canceling headphones I have seen need batteries and I hear from my friends they don't help much. Are they worth it?
Now for the headphones I will be getting, probably costing over $100, will the average person notice a big difference? Currently I am using these:
Now to me they seem fine, but I am sure that a $200 pair will blow them out of the water.
I have seen ads for Bose, but they are very expensive. Are they worth it?
Finally, can I have suggestions from you?

Simple question, will Mario Party 8 use a Remote AND Nunchuck, or does it just use a Remote?3 AnswersGames & Gear1 decade ago
I Just got a Wii yesterday and I want to go buy the game everyone has been talking about, but I don't know if I should spend the extra $15 for an Official Strategy Guide?
If I get the guide, will I really find more "hidden secrets", or is it just plain old maps of the game. Will I have a better time with it or will it just make the game less interesting?
I want your personal opinion please, since I know that some people hate guides. In addition, please only post if you actually plaed the game, thanks.5 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade ago
I have been thinking about building a new computer lately, and one decision I will have to make is my monitor situation:
1. First, what do you prefer, 1, 2, 3, or 4 monitors? Why do you have the setup that you do?
2. How many graphics card(s) will I need? Should I get 1 good graphics card for a dual monitor setup or 2 lesser ones for 4 monitors?
3. Do you think it would be better to buy 4 17inch monitors or 2 22 inch monitors (all LCD). They both come out to roughly the same cost.
4. If I am playing a game and I have 2 graphics cards in SLI, is there a way I can "turn off" the other monitors I am not using and dedicate both cards to one or two monitors to get better performance?2 AnswersMonitors1 decade ago
I have been thinking about this for a while, but I can't figure out the math behind it.
There are 65 teams which compete in the NCAA Basketball tournament In March of every year.
I assume that you know what the bracket looks like, but I will go over it a bit:
teams 64 and 65 play the first round to get into the top 64 teams. After this each team plays another, eventually eliminating the opponents until one team remains.
My question is how many different possible combinations of wins/losses can there be?7 AnswersBasketball1 decade ago
I am planning to buy a new HDTV, and I think I have decided on a:
My questions are:
1. Will (or should) I need to buy anything extra initially?
-I plan to get Verizon's new FIOS tv service when it comes available, so I will get their DVR which I believe is an HDTV tuner, so I think I am ok about the tuner. (they also rent a box out for it in case the DVR dosen't)
-Is it worth it for a surge protector? Why? If yes, can you please provide me with a link to a good cheap one?
-Should I get some nice speakers? I'm putting a limit of $200, though.
-Should I go buy an upconverting DVD player? Should I wait to get a blue-ray or HD-DVD player?
-The TV I am looking to buy has many reviews, most say the remote is bad. Can anyone recommend a good univeral remote?
Am I missing anything?

I currently am looking to buy all five seasons of 24 since it is such a great show, but I also plan to get a HDTV with an HD DVD player. Can anyone provide me with an answer on whether or not the TV show 24 will be released on HD DVD or another format such as Blu Ray?

Back during the early AOL days, during the 4.0-6.0 era (somewhere around there), there was a "download center" for games and random apps that people could post to the world. Does anyone remember what I am talking about? Is there a way I can access those files again? There were some fun games I'd like to re-download :)2 AnswersInternet1 decade ago
How much sugar is in one teaspoon of sugar? I found on the internet that a teaspoon holds 5g. Does this mean 1 teaspoon has 5g of sugar? If I put this into say a bottled water the nutrition facts would say 5g sugar?

I have a lot of old NES and N64 games lying around the house. If I buy a Wii, will I be able to in some way transfer my old games to it? Will I be forced to buy the SAME game with wii points for around $5 just to get it on the Wii?
Thanks for any help.4 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade ago
Just curious about this really. Why when I just look at the prices of small handguns I suddenly stare at $2000 price tags, with the absolute minimum seemingly around $500.
What causes the huge price? Is it taxes? Federal restrictions? Greedy gun makers? I ask this because it seems to me that a gun does not require a ton of metal to make.

I have a few questions about significant figures (sig figs)
Using a meter stick to measure a table which is about two meters long, the actual measurement is 1818 mm. Should I only accept the first three digits, making the final answer 1820 mm? What is my extimated error, +/- 1mm?
Also take the length of the table, say it is 645 mm. Would the error estimation still be: +/-1mm or possibly less?
(Remember I am using a meter stick for all measurements)
When finding the area, what numbers would I compute and would I keep only 3 sig figs?
Using the 3 sig fig #'s, I come up with:
1 173 900 mm^2
Would that be the correct answer, and if it is what is my error percentage?
