### Is there a data compression technique which needs the same computing power for both compression and decompression?

I know that in most of the existing methods compression is computationally more expensive compared to decompression.

expanding using binomial is huge via complex numbers and euler's formula.is there a very simple way to solve this.

when i made a graph using wolframalpha of

(x-y)(2x+y)(2y+x)=20

....it comes as shown....they look like three hyperbolas to me..AM I RIGHT IN MY CONCLUSION ..if yes how can i find the equations of these three hyperbolas separately..any help would be of great help
