  • R.I.P victims of the Virginia Tech - massacre?

Could everyone just take the time to say anything to show their support?

I would like to say to all the students, friends and families that have lost someone they care about during this horrible massacre, events like this should not be possible, but unfortunately they happen. The whole world feels your greef, and I hope through time and support from people around you, that you will find some peace of mind and see the light again.

    Sorry for your loss,

  • what's the name of the designer/brand??

Of the women-shoes that have a red sole, which you can see if you look at woman walking from you, and it's almost hidden by the heels.. It's kind of their trademark. I remember seeing them once, but I don't remember their name.

  • Oh no!Oh no!! Stain on my beautiful gold dress!!! HELP!?

I just bought this gorgeus gold dress and I tried it on yesterday with my new shoes and everything to see how it looks together, and I discovered there's a stain on it. It's dark and I don't know what it is! It doesn't smell anything, not sticky. The dress is very thin and polyester. I don't want to ruin it by trying some strong stainremover. I haven't even worn it yet!

anyone have any clue how to get it off?? Please help me, and thanks :) I really need your help.

  • Need help with shoes and accesories for two dresses for christmas!!?

    Dress 1: (For going out)

A really hot gold dress which is strapless(it can also be worn with straps), down to the knees and a belt in the waist which makes it a little loose on top and gives it a more laidback look which I like.

I have these awsome brown leather boots with medium heels that goes up to below the knees. And I was thinking combining them with the dress..do you think that works? And I also though of tying a silk scarf with leopard print around my neck, and wear a headband in plastic with maybe some beads on it or something, or just metallic gold like the dress, and give my hair a lot of volume and a easy and laidback half-updo.

Kind of a little 60's glam with a rock touchup...

Dress 2: (Family/friends christmas dinners and such)

A kneelength, classic deep forestgreen/christmasgreen dress. This one also has a belt in the waist in the same colour. Thinking of using another belt..if so? what coulours work? for all accesories, jewelry, shoes ++

    Thank you :)

  • highlights, or no highlights...That's the question!!?

I just coloured my hair in a dark ash blonde shade in my eternal search for my natural haircolour which I dyed away about eight years ago.. The ash shade looks great, it goes great with my eyebrows, my eyes and even my skin tone(though I'm quite warm). The ash colour looks natural and all, but also a little boring.. So, I'm considering going with some highlights. But I'm thinking they will end up more a golden than a cool shade, would that still look good with the ash blonde? Cool and warm in the same hair?

Oh! And how long should I leave the highlights in for what shade?

(I' doing this myself, the only one I really trust with my hair is me)

  • Loreal...the king of cosmetics and beauty products???

Well, I'm thinking, since Loreal is the mastermind behind so many of, at least my favourite brands(The body shop, Lancome, Vichy, Maybelline), it makes you wonder: Is all the products actually mainly the same? Just with different prices, advertising and market groups? Are we actually fooled when we spend so much on a lipgloss from Lancome, when we can get exactly the same

for half the prize from Maybelline... Not only does it look the same, feel the same and even taste the same, it actually is the same brand that's behind it all!

Sorry, I just had to put it out there, it's been on my mind for ages.. But don't you feel kind of fooled if you think about this?

  • From blonde to light brown with caramel higlights..how??please help.?

The last time I did my hair, about a month ago, I bleached it and then coloured it in a light ash blonde. Now it is a dirty blonde, but a little orange on top... I want to colour it in a light brown and add light caramell highlights, and I want to do it myself, so don't tell me to see a proffesional.

How should I do that? What products should I use? Would it work since my hair has been bleached before, but recoloured after?

    Thank you:)

  • Please help!!! choosing a haircut :) ???

I have an oval face, kind of small eyes and a big, not huge nose. My hair is a little below shoulder length and a little layered. I don't want to go shorter than the jawline, and not a right cut off fringe.

    Been thinking of these ones:

Please come with other suggestions too, preferable with pictures.

PS: I'm a dark blonde with lighter ash blonde highlights. 20 years old(don't want a too adult style, and not a too kiddish one either).

  • tips on how to dye hair correctly(ash blonde gone orange)?

I've "struggled" for the last year trying to get as close as my natural colour as possible. I'm a natural medium/ash blonde, but have been colouring my hair in every shade there is over the years. Started out as a dark black/brown with mahogny tint and highlights and went to a proffesional colourist. He ripped the colour out, but since I had been dark for so long it, it was hard getting it out. Ended up with a bright orange, where he added a toner in a ash/beige shade. He also gave me a purple shampoo and conditioner.

I've bleached it and dyed with homeproducts from time to time. Didn't do anything with it over the summer. This fall I bleached it again and added a light ash blonde. Now it's kind of an ashy dirty blonde shade, but on top it's an orange blonde shade!! How should I get rid of the orange? Is my hair filled with chemicals after all the bleach is that why? I want it to be a medium to dark ash blonde shade.

Please help, and thank you :)

  • My bestfriends boyfriend and I.............?

Well, we have a past. After a longterm relationship he was what you can call my "rebound"guy He is very nice, and really hot in bed, but there's nothing more between us. This happened just a couple of times, before my bestfriend met him. She asked me if she could hook up with him, because she really liked him, and since I didn't have any feelings for him, and was kind of flirting with someone else it was okey. This is over a year ago, and I've been living out off town, but it has been kind of weird between us(him and I) sometimes when I home.

And soon I will move home, and it's possible I'll have to leave with them for a while... Can't say I'm looking forward to it...What if HE gets tempted to do anything? Should I tell my friend? She knows we have a past, and she is already quite jealous, and I would never do anything like that. How shall I cope with living with an "ex-lover" and his girlfriend who is my bestfriend?

  • blond or brunette? please help.?

Okey, I'm trying to consider what colour I would look good in. I'm a natural medium to ash blond, but the last six years I've tried whatever colour exists. Stayed a brunette for sometime, before last summer, when I decided to become a blonde(is now a honeyblonde shade), and hopefully sometime I will let my hair grow out to my natural colour again. Lately I've felt the erge to become darker again(happens every fall/winter).

Found theese pictures of a norwegian artist, who share the same skintones, eyecolour and browcolour as me. Do you guys think she looks better as a blonde or a brunette?

    blonde:

  • would you choose a fake or a authentic LV?

In norway the first LV-store opened this weekend, but I have noticed ALOT of people(rich and semirich people) walking around with LV-purses and bags before this. Ofcourse they could have bought it in another country or something, I don't have the eye to tell whether they are fake or not. But I've read somewhere that only 1% of all the LV bags and purses on the market is authentic!!

But I stumbled over this market, and he was selling LV, and they look really authentic, and cost just around 200 norwegian kroner, which is about 30 $ or something. I know it's illegal and that it is bad for LV., but there and then I really wanted one..(didn't buy one though)

So my question is: what would you do?

  • makeup and hair for a dark green dress.?

I've bought this simple dark green(kind of more dark green/blue. but not torquise) dress for the casual christmas dinners. It has a round neck, shows just a little cleevage, stops right over the knees, and has a waistbelt in the same colour (Thinking of changing this with one more glamorous if we are going out or something). The style I'm going for is kind of a modern 50's-60's.

But how should I do my makeup?? My skintone is fair and neutral, golden blonde hair, green/blue eyes.

My hair is just below my shoulders and I don't know what to do with it. I don't like all fancy updoes.

  • help me find a suitable hair colour..?

I'm originally a medium blonde, but my hair has gone through some serious amounts of hairdye the last years, from red to black, to platinum to blue.. now I've tryed to get it as close as my natural colour, but since I than had dark mahogny brown, I had to bleach it down and recolour it over and over.. Now it is a kind of nice medium to light golden blonde.

I have blueish-green eyes(sea-green), with copper circles around the pupil and dark grey/green edges. My skin colour is fair, and it's hard to decide whether I'm warm or cool, I think actually I'm more neutral. My eyebrows are light greyish.

So I'm thinking of keeping my coulor inside the blonde shades, but I don't know if I should go darker, lighter, cooler, warmer.. I could also go for a light, light brown.

Nice if you could give me your opinions, and please some links to pictures of blonde shades you think are nice. :)
