  • Why is my boyfriend only interested in me AFTER WE BREAK UP?

We've broken up before, this is round two -second break up, and contemplation of getting back together. Just like before he's more interested in me after we break up; he takes more initiative in planning to spend time with me and is very expressive in what he likes about me and why he loves me. This is the complete opposite of what happens when we get in a comfortable spot of our relationship. He swears he will be better, that he has learned a lot, and wants to take care of me. My reasoning tells me to just let go. However something else makes me struggle with the thought that I will not find someone as intellectually bright and attractive as him.

How do I address him about this issue? What can I say/do??

  • What's your opinion of online dating?

So I'm looking into internet dating. I'm a 23 year old female. With school and work, I feel I don't meet anyone interesting enough at either place and perhaps something like eHarmony would be a viable option. Can anyone tell me what it's like? Tell me your experience and why or why not you would recommend online dating.

All input is very much appreciated :)

  • How do i ask the guy I'm dating to not to sleep around when I'm gone?

I've been dating this guy for 2 or 3 months, we have not committed to the official boyfriend/girlfriend status. Don't get me wrong, I would love for that to happen, but I am leaving this summer for three months. I do not intend to date anyone else or sleep with anyone else, I just want to be with him. However, I'm in a tough spot -since we're not official, I find it difficult to ask him of the same thing...like it would be expecting too much. Is it?

How do I ask him (while being considerate), "Hey, so could you please not sleep with anyone else while I'm gone?"

  • I've been coughing so hard I feel like I should vomit, should I just vomit?

I have been coughing so hard that it has been begun to trigger my gag reflex. Should I just vomit, or is that going to start a series of vomiting episodes?

  • Should i switch birth control?

While on the birth control (the oral contraceptive) I was taking for exactly a month, I had every one of the side effect for a month. It was awful, I felt like I wasn't productive at work and I was in constant pain. I stopped because I couldn't handle it anymore. That was the first time I had ever been on birth control and I'm thinking of getting back on it (of course with a different brand). However, is it like this every time you start on b.c.?? And when do you know when to switch?

  • Dating my Ex...is this going downhill?

My boyfriend and I broke up about 3 weeks ago, now he has asked me out on dates. We've agreed we're still not officially back together, but he tells me that I'm the only one he's ever loved and the only one he wants to be with.

Needless to say we broke up for our problems, on one hand I think this is all very sweet, romantic, and of course I love him too- I never stopped. On the other hand, I feel that I should maybe be on my own for a while and figures things out about myself.

Is dating my ex a good idea?

If it didn't work twice before, will it the third time?

    What would you do?

  • Are online stores suppose to charge before they ship?

I had ordered a gown from an online dress store, they confirmed my order would be sent out Sept.16th. Then later told me it would be back ordered until October 16th. THEN said they could overnight it October 13th. They haven't shipped the dress yet, but charged me yesterday, September 28th (3 weeks before the expected shipping date).

Does this sound sketchy? Are online stores suppose to charge you before they even ship?

  • Does anyone have a clue where this might go?

Maybe there's someone out there with similar experience or has dated someone a few years older/younger who can give me some hints!

So a guy walks into a bar...

We chat, dance, have a drink...he seems interesting and fun, but of course I don't want to be a hookup or a one night stand. So I don't give him my number he asked for. He swears he's genuinely interested. I say if he wants my number we will see each other again (which in retrospect makes no sense!).

We see each other about a month later. Coincidence or fate, idk. We exchange glances, hobbles across the bar (cause he tore a ligament-which i didn't know!) to say hello and eventually we exchange phone numbers. Now we hang out 2 to 3 times a week for the past 4 weeks. We haven't done anything more than kiss (the first time was the last time we hung out).

He's 25, in the AF, graduated, owns his own house

I'm 21, still in school, live with my folks haha.

    Where is this going?

    Thanks :)

  • What is an easy, yet flowing fabric to make a formal dress out of?

I'm a beginner at this whole sewing thing, and I think I can make my own dress instead of paying $500 for one. My plan is to make a formal gown for a pageant, what kind of fabric should I use that would be... "user friendly?" :D

All responses are greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help!

  • I have the sexual appetite of a male (I'm a female), is this normal?

I thought women just didn't want to have sex as much as men. I have never had "head aches" nor been "not in the mood"- I am ready to go as often as my boyfriend is. I thought my urge would wear off with being with someone for two years...but no, still going. Is it a hormonal thing? Do I have more testosterone than more women or something? Overall, is this normal?!

    (Not complaining, just curious). :)

  • Are engineers emotionally challenged?

    Why, or why not?

I'm not an engineer, but I've had all sorts of engineer friends; mechanical, electrical, chemical and material science. Also, I've met other engineers from other parts of the world at an...*cough* engineering club competition.

Something just seems...odd? Lack of sympathy? empathy? Or just general lack of regard for others?

Even when I meet new engineers they always ask about my job/school and what I major in. They then put me down and say they have a real job or are "actually useful." Is this a common disregard for others or just an anomaly?

  • I'm the girl with all the guy friends, why can't I make any girl friends?

I'm a female, 21 years old, a student, in a relationship, but I can't seem to make new friends with girls.

I get along with guys really well, and can make friends with them fast. I have a boyfriend, so it's not like I'm trying to get with the guys I'm friends with.

Yet, when I try to make friends with girls they seem to not like me. I try to engage in conversation, and sometimes propose we get pedicures, go out for drinks, etc.

Why is it so hard for me to make girl friends?

** Any advice for making my new Sex and the City crew?
