I've been battling a walking pneumonia/bronchitis for a few weeks now. Dr. prescribed a z-pack of antibiotics for 5 days and took those, felt better and then two days after started feeling bad again. He called in some Augmentin 875-125, every 12 hrs for 10 days. After 2 days of taking it I feel terrible, extremely weak and just achy all over. Is this just a side effect of the antibiotics working? I'm concerned, still having coughing, can feel stuff in my lungs, should I just finish taking them and see how I feel?3 AnswersRespiratory Diseases1 decade ago
I started feeling nauseous a couple of days ago and started vomiting. Went to the dr, he guessed a stomach bug, gave me some anti-nausea meds and said I'd be better in a couple of days. Well, it's 2 days later and I felt a little better and tried to eat part of a hamburger, within a couple of hours, nausea so bad and vomiting. Haven't eaten anything else the rest of the day but still feel like the food is in my throat, and have been burping constantly. Not sure what this is but go back to the dr tomorrow, but curious as to what is going on. Thanks!1 AnswerOther - Diseases1 decade ago
I am wondering if I may be lactose intolerant, but I have varying symptoms. Recently I have had bouts of gas, diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, and nausea usually around the time I go to bed at night. I have recently been monitoring what I ate prior to this time, since it never happens during the day.
My normal routine is I eat a high fiber cereal with non-fat milk every morning, never changes. Then at lunch I usually eat a lean cuisine or leftover something at home, usually nothing big. Then in the evenings we have dinner, sometimes eating out, I don't eat a lot of cheese but last night I had a spell and I had eaten pizza. I also can eat full fat ice cream and not have a problem all the time.
So I guess I'm confused because why would milk and ice cream not bother me but cheese would.
Also, for anyone who has this problem, Do you find that sometimes you can eat something like milk and it doesn't bother you and then the next time you drink it it does bother you.
I just need some help figuring this out! Thanks!1 AnswerOther - Diseases1 decade ago
7 yrs ago I was diagnosed hyperthyroid and took RAI and have no thyroid function now. I take levothyroxine everyday. My problem is that ever since then my immune system is so weak, I catch every illness around me. I also have problems with skin boils occasionally too. I need to boost my immune system because I feel like my body just can't fight anything off. I also take a multi-vitamin everyday. Any advice would be great! I have terrible itching and flaking on my scalp...I wash my hair everyday and blow dry it. It seems to have just gotten worse lately. I bought Scalpicin shampoo to try and I noticed immediately the itching stopped. It says to use the shampoo 2 days a week. Now it's back and with a vengeance!! It's itching so bad I can't stand it!!! Please give me some tips or advice on what shampoo to buy! Normally I use Biolage shampoo.10 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade ago
What product can you use daily that really works to keep the soap scum from building up on the shower??
They have so many different types, would really like a natural cleaner if there is one.
I want something I could spray after getting out of the shower each day to keep it clean, instead of letting it build up and having to scrub! Thanks!18 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade ago
I love eating at chinese food buffets, and I've been to a few that have this chicken that's on a skewer. It has a slightly sweet & savory sauce, not a lot, just coated.
It's the best, If anyone has a recipe for this please help me out!! Thanks!4 AnswersEthnic Cuisine1 decade ago
I read an article about juicing and losing weight. It also said to add in aloe vera to your juice.
Has anyone incorporated juicing into their diet and had good results. I know it would be absolutely healthy, and also I've never heard of eating aloe...any info would be great!38 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade ago
So recently I have had episodes of severe pain below the bellybutton with diarrhea. As soon as the pain hits I have to hit the bathroom. Once I go, it gets better and quits hurting.
At first it was about once a month and now has increased to once a week or more.
I went to the dr in June & they did an ultrasound and found nothing wrong.
So went again today and he is worried about maybe intestinal parasites or bacteria. So I'm now waiting on the stool sample results and then he will start me on some antibiotics for that.
Hopefully that will clear it up.
Has anyone had anything similar? Any info will help.
(Also, there has been no food connection, each time it happens it is with something different I ate)2 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade ago
I just removed the carpet in my living room and there are beautiful hardwood floors underneath. I did this in my bedroom too, and stripped all the old adhesive with Jasco Adhesive Remover and put polyurethane back on the floor to protect it.
But that was such a huge undertaking and I'm just not wanting to spend that much time on this one, I have already bought a large area rug which will leave about 1 ft to 2 ft around the edge showing.
My question is this, what is the best soap/cleaner to use to get the leftover residue off the floor and what type of scrubbing device should I use to do it.

Growing up I had no problems, but then after I was diagnosed as hyperthyroid 7 years ago, it seems that I don't sweat, no matter how hot I get. I think I got heat exhaustion yesterday from trying to mow the yard. Almost blacked out, nauseous, dry skin, clammy.
What causes this inability to sweat?4 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade ago
We have vines full of tomato's that are getting ripe and look great, but the leaves are turning yellow and dying.
We live in tx and have gotten tons of rain, I haven't had to water them once. I also put some pine bark mulch around each plant at the beginning to maintain soil moisture.
There are not any insects around, we've checked. and put out sevin dust.
Would miracle grow help?
Any tips Thanks!11 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade ago
My husband and I sleep on a queen size bed. We have a memory foam topper which is very comfortable.
The problem is I can feel every little move he makes.
We are trying to save up for a new king size bed, but in the meantime does anyone know any tricks for keeping the bed more stable. I think the bed rails are to blame partially, would putting different support underneath help?
Any ideas please!3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade ago
