  • I cant get on facebook ...?

I was out of state this weekend and went online and tried to access facebook, it said that I was at a new location and needed to verify my account. It asked me to identify seven different 'friend' avatars. Well I play one of the facebook games and for the game I have 'friended' hundreds of people that I do not know. There is no way that I will ever randomly guess 7 out of 7 friends because most of these people on my 'friend' list are strangers .. does anyone know what I should do or who I can contact to regain access to my account?

  • Would a Church's decision NOT to marry a gay couple be a Hate Crime under the new Hate Crimes Bill?

According to Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009:

Section 6 (2) (B) ‘(iv) the conduct described in subparagraph (A)-- CommentsClose CommentsPermalink

‘(I) interferes with commercial or other economic activity in which the victim is engaged at the time of the conduct; or CommentsClose CommentsPermalink

‘(II) otherwise affects interstate or foreign commerce.

Which means if a Paster tells a gay couple that they do not do "Gay ceremonies" then according to R.H. 1913, a Hate Crime would have been committed. Since, marriage give couples economic gain for that union. It could be considered part of a economic activity.

  • Was George Bush overreaching by increasing the National Debt by Five Trillion Dollars in eight Years?

If so, what about Barack Obama? The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 cost $787 billion and the 2010 Budget is standing at 3.44 Trillion giving a combined total of 4.22 Trillion in ONE YEAR.

So, can one be a Genius if the other is an Idiot?

I agreed with Democrats when they critized then President George H.W. Bush for creating a Drug Czar (a position that nearly a Cabinet Level Position without Congressional Confirmation.

Obama will be naming a Cyber-security Czar soon. That person will join 12 other "Czars".

    Energy Czar Carol Browner

    Infotech Czar Vivek Kundra

    Faith-based Czar Joshua DuBois

    Health Reform Czar Nancy-Ann DeParle

    TARP Czar Herb Allison

    Non-proliferation Czar Gary Samore

  • Isn't it Possible that George Bush AND Barack Obama could BOTH be wrong on the Economy?

Everyone seems to think that economic policy is like a railroad track, where you either go in this direction or the diametrically opposite direction.

Simply because, Republican George Bush with the Democratically Controlled Congress (2007-8) made poor choices, does that AUTOMATICALLY mean that Democrat Barack Obama and the Democratically Controlled Congress is right NO MATTER what they do?

  • Are Republicans willing to stand up and return to the values that the Party was founded?

The Republican Party was hijacked in recent years by "moderate" liberal politicians until it was a shell of its true nature and simply a paler version of the Democratic Party.

If the Republican Party remains a Milquetoast Play-along to Get-along Fraternity or work to become more "Progressive" i.e. more liberal then there is No point in the continuation of the continuation of the organization.

The party must loose its members that hold the Republican name but vote as a Party-line Democrat. Arlen Spector should be thanked for leaving, while encouraging Olympia Snowe, (Maine) and Susan Collins, also from Maine; to become Democrats as well.

Republicans must either find their Conservative Will or become irrelevant.

It needs to be a Party of Small Government with Equitably Lower taxes for Everyone in a Free and Balanced Open Market System.

The Federal Government along with the United Auto Workers Union will own Chrysler, essentially federalizing the company.

  • Why do I keep hearing that we "Just diverted" a Second Great Depression?

We are strongly in a recession, Yes. A depression? No. The economy was far worse when Ronald Reagan took office in January 1981

    January 1981 (Under Carter)

    Unemployment Rate: 7.8%

    Inflation Rate 13.5%

    Prime Interest Rate 21.5%

    Mortgage Rate: 14.9%

    30-Year Mortgage Rate: 18.5%

    Inflation Rate:13.58%

    January 2009 (Under Bush)

    Unemployment Rate: 7.6%

    Inflation Rate 3.8%

    Prime Interest Rate 3.25%

    Mortgage Rate: 5.05%

    30-Year Mortgage Rate: 4.96%

    Inflation Rate:3.85%

Republican Phil Gram gave us a bill and President Bill Clinton signed it into law to allow Commercial Banking and Financial Investment organizations to merger. Over the years Greed and politicians on BOTH sides of the Isle added to the blunder. Community Organizations pushed to allow people who could not get mortgages to buy home even if they could not pay for them, saying that regardless of ability they had a constitutional right to own a home.

In 2006, there was a White House push to reform Freddie Mac and Fannie May but Democrat Barney Frank said that there was NOTHING wrong with either organization. Now people like Nancy Pelosi say we need more people like Barney Frank to help us out of this problem.

  • Why is the "90% Percent of Guns going into Mexico lie" continue to be told?

It was 90% of the guns that were sent to the United States for trace evidence examination that were found the have come from the United States. That represented only 17% of the number of guns used in crime in Mexico. Most of the guns used are obvious by looking at them that they DID NOT come from the United States so they were NOT sent for analysis. SO we (as a country through speeches of the President) are apologizing for something that we are NOT responsible for.

There are more weapons coming from China and Russia than the United States.

  • Ignoring whether or not it is effective: Do you support torture if it saves lives?

There have been questions asked about whether or not torture is effective. That is not the question being asked here.

Say for sake of argument, that torture like water boarding was used and it saved lives, would that make torture acceptable?

I believe that we are better than that we CANNOT use torture no matter what the result or no matter how many lives are or could be saved. BECAUSE wrong is ALWAYS wrong!

The danger of living in a free society is that it gives our enemies the ability to use our freedoms against us. But, if we sharply reduce those same freedoms to fight them, ... is the price TOO high?

How can we tell the international community to take the higher ground, follow laws of ethical treatment of others and the rights of all people if we will not?

  • Hypothetical Rhetoric on Terrorist Attacks: Are you willing to surrender freedom for safety?

It has come out that an attack on Los Angeles. Someone asked (saying it was a hypothetical) if you would support Water boarding to stop such an attack. Some called it a Conservative or Republican trick question and/or saying that such tactics cannot give real information.

I do not believe in torture, do not believe in tactics such as water boarding EVEN if it would save lives. This is a comment from a Conservative who supports smaller government Independent.

Yes, following the rule of law means the possibility that another attack may hit the United States. If we take on the tactics of those that mean to destroy us, then we have done the destruction of the countries values for them.

Yes, Americans may die, but that is part of the price of being a free nation. If we give that up, then we have surrendered our freedoms and are no longer the nation that hundreds of thousands of Americans died fighting for in the past 230 years.

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."

    Benjamin Franklin

ARE you willing to surrender your freedom and become a nation that your government dominates your daily lives so they can tell you that you are safe? ...

Are you willing to surrender freedom for safety?

If you do, What happens to Freedom, democracy and the "the nation on the hill" that takes the higher moral ground to shine for the rest of the world?
