So I've gotten rid of the Antivirus 2008 problem. But there's still some things that are pretty bad...First off, some websites are still blocked off. Doing a google/yahoo search on things like "Spydoctor" will lead me to being lead to a random window that asks if what I was searching for is in this weird image thing. My Norton Internet Security Program won't do a full system scan. It stops at 25,000 files, even though I know have more then that. I've ran a scan with Super Anti Spyware on my computer once more and it gets rid of small tracking cookies. It doesn't find anything wrong. I used CCcleaner to clean up anything that was not used or cause problems. Yet I'm still having problems.
I've updated Firefox, and installed the addons Adblock Plus, and NoScripts so I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do anymore...I'm at my wits end after beating the AntiVirus 2008 problem. Is there anything I can do to fix my computer?7 AnswersSecurity1 decade ago
Alright here is exactly what is happening with my computer. I recently got this Antivirus XP 2008 on my computer. Less then 24 hours ago from this moment. Certain websites will not open through Firefox or Internet Explorer. I can not download certain programs through the internet, but there are some instances where I can.
I've tried some of these programs that are free, but end up doing nothing but scanning. It seems like I've removed most of the harmful stuff, which would be the program itself, but the effects of the program are still here. My background is that stupid "WARNING" thing and it won't be changed. I can't change the background, and some websites will not show. Please help me fix this problem, and my computer. If you can please run me by step by step, or just give me a program that will be sure to work. I have Spy Sweeper and Norton Internet Security on my computer, both have failed to pick up a problem. I also have Spyware Doctor, but it's been useless because it won't run live updates. A system update isn't much of an option because I have too much precious data to lose.
Once again, please help me get rid of this problem.20 AnswersSecurity1 decade ago
My 80 gig recently broke. It stopped reading discs, so I had to return it. I've been looking online and it seems like they're sold out. Is Sony pulling it off the shelves because of this problem, or are they really sold out? I doubt the sold out problem, even if Blu-Ray format won the war.5 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade ago
I'm a Sophomore in high school, and I'm having a tough time with school. My 9th grade year was a disaster! I had to go to a school which was always moving because it had problems with the LAUSD. It was shut down at the end of the year. I lost interest in school because of the school. Most of the teachers weren't even into teaching. Because of this my bad habits with school took an all new high, and I had bad hibits before. Ex. Not turing in homework, not studying for tests etc.
I really want to change my habits, but it's so hard for me to do. I've been trying so hard, and yet I can't seem to get it down. I lock myself up in my room until my homework is done, but sometimes I decide to skip doing my homework because of some lame excuse. On top of that I have a mother, (My father left around 6 years ago) that wants all A's from me. I want to change. I want to show the world I'm not a failure! *O.k. maybe just my family and friends* I need help before I feel like I've lost it all...11 AnswersOther - Education1 decade ago
