  • Can't control crying, is it the pain, menopause or something else?

I have problems with back pain which is due to damage to my spine plus fibromyalgia. For the last 4 or 5 weeks the pain has become so incredibly bad I don't know what to do with myself and I am having problems stopping myself crying all the time. I don't know whether it is due to the pain or fibromyalgia or maybe menopause although it's been 3 years since I had a period so I thought I was well through that. I can't talk to anybody without crying, can't even think about virtualy anything without crying. My eyes are sore, my nose is sore and I've got a headache. My husband isn't really speaking to me, he doesn't understand but that's not his fault because I don't understand. I realy don't want to go to the doctor, he's the old fashioned type and I'm worried he'll tell me to pull myself together, and that's what I really want to do. Any sugestions?

  • If you get caught speeding why do you complain?

What is it you want? Is it that you think the speed limits are too low or that there shouldn't be any at all? It seems that no matter what the limit there is always someone breaking it. I am so sick of being tailgated because I stick to the speed limit and I want to know why some people think they are such great drivers they can do this. I have noticed that these drivers are great on the straight but can't keep up on corners/bends. If they learned to drive properly they wouldn't need to break the limits. They overtake at the most dangerous times, if they want to commit suicide take an overdose or something else that won't take others with them.

So .. what do you want?

Can't remember the spelling could have been Sean. It had a Spider called Elvis who Sean kept as a sort of free range pet.

  • Anyone else having a bad day?

So far this morning, and it's only 10.30am ish I've been hit by a car while trying to cross the road, not hurt but the cheeky madam swore at me!! (I was on a crossing and she was stopped initialy then drove into me!) Then I get home and my Parrott's dead, we've had him 15 years, I can't believe he's gone just like that, he was fine an hour earlier! If things come in threes what's going to happen next?

  • I instructed a company to reclaim my bank charges and 6 months later?

they say it isn't in my interests to take them to court and 'if they do it (take them to court) for me they will have to do it for everyone else and it costs £120 to take them to court'. I feel they are stringing me along and also that the bank will know this company aren't going to do anything and so won't even bother to reply to any letters. Question is, how do I take over the case now that it has started? They have calculated the amount owing which is over £4,000 and will get 25% if they are successfull. However I signed a contract that said if I cancel at any time I will have to pay them £500. I know which I would rather do but I am a bit worried about taking over the case and unsure of how to proceed.

  • Another serious question for Christians?

Firstly I must say I am not a Christian or any other organised religion but I do respect others faiths. My questions, and I have a few, are

    1. If there is only one god why do some Christians worship the Virgin Mary?

    2. If there is only one god who do Christians worship Jesus, he was the son of God not God himself.

    3. If there is only one god why does the bible say 'thou shalt worship no other gods before me', surely that is saying there is more than one god.

As I said these are serious questions, I'm not getting at anybody or disrespecting their beliefs I'm just interested.

  • Am I paranoid or is this really suspicious?

This is a long story which I will try to shorten. Hubby been behaving strangely for last few months, this isn't the first time and I've always been right before. He kept talking about a woman at work, everything she said or did, it was Lxxx this Lxxx that. I ignored it then about 3 weeks ago, Lxxxs husband has left her cos someone said she was having an affair at work. All of a sudden the late nights stopped and L wasn't mentioned again. He's been bad tempered, agressive and generaly not his usual self. Then yesterday a letter arrived for him from our local branch of the bank, it was a change of address form with a compliments slip. When he opened it, in front of me cos we were in the car, he read it, put it back in the envelope and said he didn't know what that was about. I asked him outright if he was leaving and he got angry and said he didn't know where it had come from. When we got home he put it straight on the fire.

Am I paranoid or is he fixing to leave?

  • I have a Fiat Ducatto Van, 1991, it starts OK, idles OK, runs on the flat/downhill ok but any sort of incline?

and it coughs, splutters, backfires and dies. We've had 3 mechanics look at it including the RAC but no-one can find what's wrong. Checked the Carburettor, fuel's getting through, petrol filter fine, air filter clean. Would the plugs and points cause this problem? Anyone got any other ideas, I really need to get it on the road by next Sunday.

  • Suggestions for pain relief please?

Hit by drunk driver 20 years ago resulting in wedge fracture of neck, two prolapsed discs and now arthritis in neck and back. Also one prolapsed disc in lower back and fibromyalgia. My doctor has advised staying off the pain killers I've been taking for many years and I agree as they don't work any more they're more of a crutch. Had Physio including traction which was great while on the machine but when everything settled back into place the pain returned. Had Accupuncture, that didn't work. Practice the exercises from Physio daily and try to keep mobile and build muscles around back and neck with walking. The pain is increasing at an alarming rate and my hands are cramping making me drop things, also my left arm often feels cold and weak although is warm to the touch. My doctor is at a loss to sugest anything else and I am getting realy down because of the constant pain and the restrictions it causes. Anyone have any sugestions for exercises or relaxation techniques?

  • Why does everyone who has German Shepherds keep calling them German Sheppards?

It's a small annoyance but if someone's had a breed for many years as a lot of people on here claim why can they not spell it?? It's Shepherd as in sheep herd, not sheppard or shepard or shephard. I know it's not a big thing but it is iritating and I can't see how someone can give advice on a breed if they don't even know how to spell it.

  • what could be eating my Rhododendron and Primroses?

We moved in in November and something had eaten most of one Rhododendron but not others. The leaves fell off and now there are new buds but the little monsters have moved to surrounding Primroses, still no other plants as yet. Can't see anything on the plants, any ideas would be welcome.
