Does the Bible ask women to cover their heads while praying? What is the reason?
And why is it not followed / enforced today?4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 weeks ago
What do you say when you are facing a lot of problems but getting along with life somehow?
I'll give you a few phrases to give you a better idea.
Getting through life,
Grinning and bearing it,
Wearing a plastic smile,
Putting up a brave face.

Today, I am in the mood to fight... What better adversary than the womenfolk who constitute 50% of humanity. Looking forward to a big fight. :)
We mustn't generalize - but we know that women are more emotional creatures. I suspect they are less intellectual too. What else explains the minimal number of philosophers, thinkers, scientists in history? You may argue that: education was denied to girls in the past, that they were suppressed, or the credit for their achievements were stolen, bla, bla. But how many inventions of modern gadgets can you attribute to women? Very few.
A quick word on equality... I believe men and women must complement, not compete with, one another. There are limits to how much we can ape one another. Men are better suited for some jobs and vice versa. Being physically stronger and more aggressive, men fare better in situations that require brute force. Likewise, a woman plays the role of bearing and nursing a child better naturally.
I think exchanging of roles there is needless and can be counter-productive. (I heard that research is going on to alter the sexual organs of a man to enable him to bear a child so that same-sex couples can have their own children. I can't think of a more pointless project.
Disclaimer: I intend a healthy debate in good humour. No hard feelings, please. Those that have no points to make and only angry, hateful words may stay away. Thanks.3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture3 months ago
Much harm and violence has happened in the name of religion., no doubt
Surely, some good has happened too. Can you list down a few positive effects of religion?

Educated people continue to believe in God,even after the begin to think for themselves (they are out of their parents influence).
Why do you think so many still believe in God, the Savior?10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 months ago
Will you smile inwardly thinking, 'how dumb he/she is...'
Will you tell to the wisher, 'Your God is fake, and wishes are useless'
Will you gracefully acknowledge the wish
Will you quietly ignore the incident?11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality4 months ago
