  • What is your favorite "comfort' food & why?

I always love PB&J made with apple jelly, and a glass of lime Kool-aid.

Just because it reminds of of my childhood and more innocent times, when I didn't have to worry so much.

  • What is sweet fat?

I've recently read an article about a woman in North Carolina (USA) who could loose her son (who is 8 years old) because of his extreme obesity. She said what some of the things she fed him were, one of the things she said she fed him was "Sweet fat"......I've googled and looked and searched, but to no avail. Does anybody know what this stuff is?

  • Type of shoes or sneakers for concrete?

My husband spends his entire shift and any over time, walking on concrete and asphalt (he works in a fuel yard). His shins, feet, ankles and heels are so sore it leaves him gimpy/lame. Are there any special 'kind' of shoe/boot (like for instance 'nurses' shoes) or particular brand (Nike, Converse, Wolverine) that would help allievate his pain during his shift? I realize that padding will help but is one brand better than another? Anyone experience this? I'm not looking for them as a gift for him but as a tool to help ease his pain. I would appreciate your input, please.

  • Looking for opinions on long hair?

I have long hair. I am 5ft 10in tall and my hair is long enough that I can sit on it........

Problem is I'm getting tired of the upkeep, its a real witch to brush.

So here is the question.....Cut it or not? How short?....bald?

The only reason I keep it long is because of my hubby (who LOVES long hair) and my grown boys (they have memories of sleeping on mommies hair when they were little) and my youngest son is adament enough about the issue that he will help me brush it and he will trim it for me.....but I am just so tired of it.....

Your opinions please (pros, cons, comments.....all accepted)

  • Fooled the little ones at Christmas?

Has anyone ever done something to make thier little ones Christmas extra special? We did, when my boys were little I would never put thier presents out before they went to bed. After they went to bed I would bring out all the wrapped presents, turn out the lights but leave the tree lit and sprinkled pearl glitter all over everywhere. My boys still talk about those Christmases, they remember the excitement and the sparkle and magic. I kinda miss it now. How about you? Have you done anything like that for yours?
