  • Why does my battery light come on?

Okay so here is whats going on: Last week my battery light kept coming on. Then my car wouldn't start, completely dead absolutely no power at all. I replaced the alternator and recharged the battery to full but my battery light is coming on again. The battery is pretty new, only about 6 months old. I cleaned any corrosion around the cables and tightened them down good. What would cause the battery light to still come on?

I would really prefer going into the air force. My asvab scores are well above average and I qualify for any enlisted job that I want. So any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Please help - Upgrading my processor?

I would like to uprade my current Intel Pentium D 820 processor. I have an ASUS P5LP-LE motherboard. How do I know which ones are compatible?

  • Compatible Processors???

I would like to uprade my current Intel Pentium D 820 processor. I have an ASUS P5LP-LE motherboard. According to hp.com, I have a CPU Socket: 775, but CPU-Z says I have a Socket: 775 LGA. My first question is, is there a difference or will this matter when deciding which processor to go with.. My second question, if there isnt a difference in 775 and 775 LGA, is.. According to Hp.com my CPU only supports Pentium D (Smithfield) up to 3.2 GHz and Pentium4 (Prescott) up to 580 and 670, but who knows when that was actually written, right? So do you think the newer Intel processors like the Intel® Core™ i7 or something similar would be compatible??? If not would upgrading from my current 2.8 GHz to 3.2 GHz, really make much difference??? Lastly, is there anything besides the socket type and max external clock speed, that I should consider? Anything would be helpful, thanks!

  • 1999 Chevy Malibu - starter problem? alternator?

The other day I went to the store and came back out and had trouble starting my car. When I turned the key it sounded as normal as far as trying to start but it never would completely turn over. We measured the voltage on the battery and it looked fine. After about 3-4 times of trying to start it, it finally started but we had trouble again the next day and again it finally started after a few tries. Do you think its the starter? alternator?

Also if anyone knows of a good starter replacement guide (in case that is the problem) for a '99 malibu, that would be great! Thanks!
