As a check of their laboratory protocol for growing mouse embryos in vitro, a group of scientists want to compare the mean mass of 15 embryos grown for two weeks in their lab (see data below) to an average mass value of 75 µg that was obtained in several other published studies that used the same protocol. Is the mass of the mouse embryos grown in this study significantly less than that expected from previously published studies? Assume that all assumptions are met.
What is the independent and dependent variable of this problem?
The answer book said the independent variable was laboratory protocol. Why is this?1 AnswerOther - Science9 years ago

I am doing research on advertising trends for my computer science class (we're creating a game). If you could answer this survey, that'd be awesome!
1. What is the most distracting thing about an advertisement (not a commercial)?
2. Which advertisements do you see most often (on the street/in real life, on the internet, magazines, etc.)
We aren't going to be doing a commercial, so please exclude commercials from you answer. Thanks so much !1 AnswerPolls & Surveys10 years ago
so i go to this summer program that started yesterday. and there's this guy that lives in virginia that only comes in the summer time, last year i hung out with him (let's call him bob) and this other guy (let's call him billy). last summer they (other participants in the program) had this joke that we were in a "love triangle" or whatever because we always hung out together. it kind of died during the year.
BUT. he came this summer (so yesterday) and people were like ohmygosh; remember last year with the love triangle? and it was kind of annoying, and they told this freshman (who i kind of know) about it. and today we did a little exercise to get to know the freshman, and me, bob, and billy were in a group with her; so when she was introduced to marcus, she was like OOOOHHHHH. that's him. and he was like, what? and she was like, your that guy that sam liked, and i just like played it off and was like, she's talking about that stupid love triangle thing. b/c their faces looked like they were in disbelief or something. and then i tried to explain but i got cut off by the teacher.
so; idk if they know she was joking and that it was a stupid joke, cause i haven't talked to either of them that much; and i want to hang out with them b/c they're freaking hilarious...... BUT SHE TOTALLY SCREWED EVERYTHING UP and now i'm afraid it'll be all awkward and stuff if i talk to her, and what if he actually thinks i like him when i don't ?!?!?!? gah. help me. what do i do?1 AnswerOther - Family & Relationships10 years ago
