  • How do you determine the final temperature?

Nitrogen at 600 kPa and 127 degree celcius is stored in an insulated tank whose volume is 0.5 m^3. The tank is connected to another insulated tank which is intially empty and has a volume of 0.5 m^3. The valve connecting the two tanks is opened so that nitrogen fills both tanks and equilibrium is attained.

    What is the final Temperature?

  • How do you find the magnetic Flux through a rectangle?

This is a homework problem I've been working on for the past several days, and I can't get it, and my TA is a moron and absolutely no help at all. I've gotten several answers that are incorrect please help.

A long, straight wire carries a current I. A rectangular loop with two sides parallel to the straight wire has sides a and b with its near side a distance d from the straight wire, as shown in the figure above. Compute the magnetic flux through the rectangular loop, and evaluate your answer for a = 5 cm, b = 10.8 cm, d = 2 cm, and I = 17 A.
