My question is, can I do a streamline FHA refi from a 30 year to 15 year? Our current mortgage rate is 6.75 and we are pre-approved for 3.25 on the 15 year. The balance on our current mortgage is 269,350. Based on my pre-approval our P&I will only go up about $60 per month, PMI will also increase, I am currently paying $120 per month and it will increase to $240. That said, our current total monthly mortgage payment is $2240 and our 15 year estimate is $2420
