• Cleaning my Dogs Ears?

Ive cleaned her ears many times before with a puppy solution that I bought directly from my vet, but when I ran out, I just bought some from the store. Anyway, now her ears are sore. THEY ARE NOT INFECTED. She was just at the vet three days ago and had a full physical where he checked her ears, eyes, teeth, ect. She does not have a history of ear infection either. The cleaner is liquid with aloe vera. It says its supposed to be mild and soothing. Sure...Could she be allergic to it, or is this common with a new cleanser? If so, how long should this last and will it happen every time?

  • Vaccination Question?

I have a dog that just turned a year old. I got her from a shelter 5 months ago. At that time, I gave them her kennel card which listed everything they had given her. The vet gave her her rabies shot and said she was all caught up on her vacs. I didnt really think anything else about it till I was going through her paperwork looking for my reminders on her vacs because I knew she needed a booster for bortadella in March. On her kennel card, it says that they never gave her her puppy shots and there is no other record for them (at least that I have been able to get a hold of). I doubt that my vet missed that because she actually put a date for a DAPP2 booster on my reminders. Should I trust my vet or go to another one and get her the shots? I know shes not a puppy anymore, but arent they kind of essential?

She doesnt have an intestinal problem. Shes just really active. She always moving - Ive been training her in some agility courses to work off her energy, but it doesnt work. Because she is so active and relatively thin (not bone thin, just scrawnny) I feed her basically however much she will eat. Should I continue to feed her as much as she wants, or will this be bad for her in the long run. I feed her Purina pro plan dry food and Pedigree wet if that helps. Plus sometimes I make her up chicken and rice because she loves it. I just dont want to make her fat or unhealthy when she gets older.

  • Chewing Problem?

My dog has a chewing problem. Shes still young, so it was expected. I was wondering if anyone knows of those sprays that they sell at petco/walmart/every other store that supposedly stop dogs from chewing in areas. Do they work, or are they just crap? Her teeth are all in, so its not a teething issue. Ive bought her every type of bone/rawhide... show more

Her teeth are all in, so its not a teething issue. Ive bought her every type of bone/rawhide out there, but she prefers wood, especially the wood on my baseboards. And for all the jerks out there - I love my dog and Im not killing her (Ive seen some disturbing answers out there).
