• Does it matter who wins this Election? Will things get better either way?

I have mulled over this for two years now. And now, only a couple of months away from this very important national election I find myself still shaking my head and wondering if any of these candidates are really right for the job of Commander In Chief, let alone supposed Leader of the Free World? And now, only a couple of months away from this very important national election I find myself still shaking my head and wondering if any of these candidates are really right for the job of Commander In Chief, let alone supposed Leader of the Free World? I do not think either of them are the "Right" choice, but when all is said and done, do we close our eyes, cross our fingers, and hope we make the right choice? I hate to admit it, but that is where I am, and I never just guess on anything. So I pose to you-

  • How many people who support the war are actually affected by it? Are you an armchair supporter?

I support the men and women in harm's way, but I cannot believe so many people in our nation blindly support a war that has no end in sight and that is killing off some potentially great people simply for the oil and the greed of President Bush, Dick Cheney, and the Republicans and Democrats along with the Special Interest Groups who are making... show more
I support the men and women in harm's way, but I cannot believe so many people in our nation blindly support a war that has no end in sight and that is killing off some potentially great people simply for the oil and the greed of President Bush, Dick Cheney, and the Republicans and Democrats along with the Special Interest Groups who are making billions off the blood of young, old, and middle of the road, (age-wise) Patriots who are fighting this Global War on Terrorism. 9/11 was tragic and horrific, but in truth, how many people even know who is fighting in this war? It is not the sons of the rich, but the brave and proud young people from your neighborhoods or the ones you would not even drive through. I am a former Senior NCO in the Army. Does anyone in the upper class even know what that is? Does anyone care? So, the question is simple: Does the war affect you if you support it or are you simply towing the line of your Party?

  • How many people, regardless of party feel we are under a dictator right now?

I understand everyone in this nation of our (The US) feels we are still free, however, in light of the war, the economy, and our shrinking identity due to illegal immigration and government control I strongly feel that we are likely to be in a Civil War of our own within the next decade. I understand everyone in this nation of our (The US) feels we are still free, however, in light of the war, the economy, and our shrinking identity due to illegal immigration and government control I strongly feel that we are likely to be in a Civil War of our own within the next decade. I am an expert on foreign policy and domestic, however, my insights stem not from my professional background, but rather, my seeing changes in how the United States treats it's people and bullies the rest of the world. It may not be a very optimistic outlook, but "We the Peope" have become only those with lot's of money making the rest of us do what they want. In short, America is run by corporations and closet tyrannts. Unless the people of our nation stand up for what the founding fathers intended our nation will be lost forever and we will have nobody to blame but ourselves. I did not elect the current President/Emperor, but I can assure you that many who did now regret that choice profoundly.

  • When are we as human beings going to learn peace?

It is the 21st Century and we still have war, famine, and bigotry- We have not learned anything and we are not evolving as a race. This is just unacceptable. I know there will always be differences, but until we can accept each other as equals, regardless of color, religion, and monetary status we are doomed be no more than savages. All the... show more
It is the 21st Century and we still have war, famine, and bigotry- We have not learned anything and we are not evolving as a race. This is just unacceptable. I know there will always be differences, but until we can accept each other as equals, regardless of color, religion, and monetary status we are doomed be no more than savages. All the technology or medical breakthroughs in the world will ever make us great. Our greatness as a people needs to be defined by the things we do for each other, not against each other. Until we can have peace amongst nations and feed all the hungry within our own borders than we are less than animals and not worthy of being the dominant life form on this fragile and beautiful planet we have destroyed. I have fought in wars and saved lives, yet I still cannot look in the mirror and feel good about myself until I look into a mirror and cannot distinquish myself from a person of any other color or creed. That is why I post my question.
