  • How long does your 8 week old sleep during the night?

I am just wondering what other babies are doing at this age. I know each baby is different but I would like to get ideas from other moms. My 8 week old little girl started sleeping 5-6 hours in a row on week 6 but started waking up every 2-3 hours again @ 7 weeks, not always wanting to eat but just crying and cranky. We have a bed time routine from week 2. We do a bath, cuddle, and bottle every night around 7:30. Do you think this is just a phase, and maybe the waking is a growth spurt?

  • Moms of 2 kids or more, do you find it hard to get out of the house?

I just had my 2nd daughter on Jan 6. I have not left the house by myself with the 2 girls yet. It was a piece of cake when my husband and I took the girls to thier grandparents house for a visit. I am nervous about doing this on my own. I am staying inside for the next couple of weeks due to some really cold temps, but after that I would like to go out shopping, or take my oldest to a play date, etc. Please moms reassure me that is not as hard as I am thinking it is. I see moms do it all the time, and I know it is possible. I just can't help but feel so nervous.

  • Do you get less help with 2 kids?

I have a 2.5 year old and I am 38 weeks pregnant. My MIL has been taking my toddler once a week so my husband and I can have a date night. She also helps out whenever something else comes up. She is always so happy to take her. I have been hearing from other friends that once you have 2 kids, you get less help. My MIL assures me this wont happen, but I cant help but worry about it. Having her help keeps me sane and I feel like I am a better mother because of her. Did you get less help with more children?

  • What do you think of this name for a baby girl?

My husband really likes the name Luciana. It is starting to grow on me. I am just looking for opinions since we are not telling family the name until she is born. Also what would be a good middle name for Luciana? Thank you all :)

  • I am feeling really nervous about having 2 kids?

I am due in 3 months, on Jan 18 with my 2nd little girl. I all the sudden feel really nervous about having 2 kids. I am scared that I will not be able to handle it. I am also really worried about my 1st. At times I think she will adjust well because she does great with any change in her life, and then at times I feel so guilty that she has to share my attention. Is this normal? Moms of 2 kids or more, how was it for you? Did you get over this feeling and did everything work out just fine?

  • I am going to have another baby girl in Jan 2011?

To mothers of all girls, are you going to try again for a boy? I have always wanted a son but my husband and I would like to stop at 2. I am VERY happy to have my girls. They will always have each other and there is nothing like a sister relationship. I am excited for them, but my heart longs for a son. I am thankful for healthy children no matter the gender. I just wanted to experience the mother/son relationship so badly. Will it get better in time, or will my heart always long for a son?

  • My cousin was told she was having a girl but was surprised at birth with a boy?

I am now curious to know, has this happened to any of you? It was a big surprise for everyone, especially after a pink themed baby shower.

  • How did you switch your toddler from crib to big kid bed?

My daughter just turned 2. She is getting her big girl bed room set next weekend. I was just wondering what other parents did to get their toddler to stay in bed with out getting out? My daughter is a good sleeper but I am afraid that will go down the drain with a new bed. If she does keep getting out, what should I do to prevent that? Thanks for any advice.

  • What was harder for you, going from 0 to 1 child or going from 1 to 2 children.?

I was talking to my husband the other day about this subject. I think going from 0 to 1 would be harder since it is really a HUGE life change. I have a 21 month old daughter. He agreed and thought that you are more prepared and know what to expect with the 2nd. So I started to wonder, which was harder for you?

  • Parents with 2 kids, how do you like it?

I have a 17 month old daughter and my husband thinks we should start thinking about trying for another baby soon. I think I am ready one minute and then the next minute I think I am not. I am so confused about what to do. I think most of all I am scared. When did you have your second child? Do you get less help now that you have 2 kids? Do you feel it is too much to handle?

  • What would you do if one of your inlaws told you?

that you are out of their life forever because a little stupid argument that he provoked? He is the type that will act like nothing happened in a few weeks, but I don't think I can let this one go. What do you guys think? Should I take that comment to the extreme?

  • My refrigerator is not working..?

The temperature outside is about 25 degrees. Would it be ok if I leave my food and milk in the garage until it is fixed? Will they still be good?

  • My 12 month old baby girl woke up with a swollen red foot?

I took her to the doctor and they had her draw blood. The doctor said she will call me when the results are in. There is no bug bites on her foot. The doctor said she could have a joint infection, or is having an allergic reaction to something. Have any of your babies gone through this before? If so, what was it from? I am just wondering if this is common. Thank you.

  • The Doctor worried me at my daughters 9 month?

I took my daughter for her 9 month well check up on Friday and the doctor asked me if she was pulling herself up yet, well she is not. The dr. told me that I need to leave her on the floor most of the day to play and that she wants to see her in 6 weeks to see if she is pulling up yet. I thought nothing of this until the Doctors appt. Now I am worried and not sure what is wrong. Did any of your babies go through this? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • How long does your 9 month old....?

How long does your 9 month old stay awake in between naps? I am just wondering because I think my daughter is changing her patterns and I feel a bit confused. I am not sure how long she can stay up in between naps. This week she has been staying up for 3 hours at a time but then she gets so over tired that she cries herself to sleep. How long does your baby stay up in between naps?

  • Why all the sudden my 9 month old is doing this?

My 9 month old daughter was always a good napper. She falls asleep on her own and takes 2 naps a day for a total of 3 hours a day. Now all the sudden she cries so hard and will not fall asleep starting in the morning. So I take her out calm her down and try again, and she does the same, I do not let her cry for more than 5-7min. She also rolls on her tummy and cries on top of her lungs. That worries me so I always go turn her around and she cries and cries. So eventually it is bottle time. THe minute I put the bottle in her mouth she falls asleep. How can I prevent this from becoming a Habit? Have any of you experienced this before? How can I get her to fall asleep on her own again?
