I have not one clue what career I want to choose, I don't know how to explain it but I don't like doing anything and I don't want to think of picking a job they all sound terrible to me and I don't want to think of picking a college. I don't have a ton of friends and tend to ruin relationships before I even get the chance because I just feel like I'm not good enough. Lately I don't feel like putting in the effort to hang out with friends, I work like 4 nights a week so I go to bed at 2 am and sleep till 10 or 11 and I'd rather just sleep a lot of the day away so I don't have to deal with it. I feel like I'm losing friends, disappointing everyone, I struggled with eating disorder stuff before and I still hate my body and looks and I've never been clinically depressed before so I don't want to jump to conclusions but I went through periods of years not having friends and just hating myself and being resentful all the time. I don't really care about doing anything or becoming anything anymore. What's wrong with me?

It's my 3rd week so I'm going to put in a month before I tell my general manager I'm leaving. He is never at this shop though he usually is elsewhere so I hardly ever see him and can't really speak to him in person. He communicates mainly through text so would it be bad if I explained the situation in text? I can always offer to call as well. I just never see him and can't quit that way. I also do have another job opportunity lined up that pays better, and I don't have to drive as far to. Thank you for your time and help in this question!

I work till midnight and now my parents told me they don't want me to stay on my own. They literally leave me alone all of the time, never check in on me, and I'm very independent (I'm not just saying that I've been left home alone since I was like 7 a lot and done fine) now after encouraging me to take a job far away they pull this. Nobody will stay with me because this place doesn't even have water (I was gonna bring some and basically rough it, bum showers from friends houses the next day) I can't stay with my friends because I'll get off of work too late. So basically my parents pulled a fast one on me, I'm a 17 year old girl who will Be driving 3-4 nights a week at 12-2am alone. Is this really safer than me staying alone in a cabin in the woods? Would you encourage your kid to do the same thing and then pull a fast one of them? Looking for your feedback On the situation lol

They're having it in a pretty barn place in the middle of nowhere, and honestly I can't afford a super expensive dress and I was gonna get one from Dillard's. Also, I don't think my date could afford to rent a tux. Does this sound acceptable? Thanks! Also I figured since it was in a barn they shouldn't expect it to be super super formal.

  • Can I make my own corsages/boutonnière for prom?

I didn't realize how expensive these stupid flowers are, my date and I are already gonna be spending a bunch on the night and I'm pretty crafty anyway. Plus I could make it match my dress exactly and he wouldn't have to wear an over the top flower. If this is a bad idea, where could we get cheap ones?

I'm very very insecure about my body and I'm within a healthy weight range still. I can't eat in front of most people and the thought of it freaks me out, I end up not eating at school but then eating a lot at home. I'm always stressed about school and things, sometimes I skip school when I get too overwhelmed. I'll end up waking up and not being able to sleep because I'm stressed about something and can't stop thinking of it. I'm always tired and rely on caffeine a lot, and when I can't sleep I just take NyQuil to go to bed. Honestly sometimes I'm easy going but as I've gotten older, I'm very OCD about everything being organized and tidy and everything going right. I'm basically a control freak and count my calories, even plan out when I'll use the restroom because I get stressed about that as well. Is it time to open up about having anxiety? Thanks!

I am not jealous of these children, I love them and they make the family whole. My little sister just started middle school and sports and my brother is about to go to college on a football scholarship so they're focused on them and then there's me. I literally see them like twice a day (once in the morning once at night.) I've always been independent but it's weird, they could care less. I don't tell them where I am, what time I'll come home, what I'm doing, etc. I didn't even have curfew on homecoming. I don't do anything bad anyway. I just go to school, Church, college, and home. It just hurts that whenever I do go places with them they seem kind of like I should've driven myself and paid for myself and I feel like a burden. I've been getting ignored when I try to make conversation, they never call or ask where I am, what I'm doing. Most teens would love this but it just sort of stings

He had dated/ talked to other girls at the same time however he never told me about it until he told me about problems with one girl (after the issues already occurred). I ll admit I kind of caught feelings in a way. He s my best friend, we talk ever day. He says things like I look nice sometimes or have pretty eyes but he s never said he likes me/ won t asks me to dances or any of those things. I thought maybe he was embarrassed by me (although I m not super ugly or anything) but he walks with me at school. Why does he keep me around/ flirts with me so long if he has no intentions of having a relationship? It s on a bit more of a friendly level I guess. In a way, I feel like it d be wrong to talk to other guys and I don t really want to anyway yet sometimes things with him are so shady. I honestly have no idea what to do.
