I read it when i was a little girl, but even then it was in an old book with other short stories. The story goes that a man walking by a graveyard sees a beautiful ring on a skeleton's finger, and so decides to take it for his wife. The man presents the ring to her when he gets home, and she loves it. That night while they're in bed they hear a voice call out to them "I want my ring, give me my ring" over and over, each time the voice gets closer until it's at the foot of their bed, at which time the wife can't take it anymore and rips the ring from her finger and throws it into the darkness. they then hear the sound of bones as the skeleton runs away into the night with the ring.
So, did anyone else read this? remember the name or author at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated. 10 points for the best info.
