Who do YOU think had the most entertaining season this year?14 AnswersBaseball9 years ago
Matt Moore (in his 2ND CAREER START)
Matt Moore in his 2nd career start, IN THE PLAYOFFS, was more than outstanding, amazing, brilliant, etc.
What do you make out of this young and talented Rays' lefty?
Yankees vs. Rays (7:10 game start)
- Price vs. Betances (and most of the NY bullpen)
Baltimore vs. Boston (7:05 game start)
- Lester (3 days rest) vs. Simon
GAME 162 -- Who takes the wild card? Rays or Sox? Will there be a tiebreaker? Any predictions?

The end of the 2010 season, James Shields had an ERA over 5 and a losing record. Now "Juego Grande", Complete-Game James is having is his best season in his major league career. Here are his statistics....
James Shields: 2011
14 - 10 record (tied for 5th in AL)
2.77 ERA (4th in AL)
205 K's (3rd in AL; 4th in ML)
11 CG's (1st in ML)
1.02 WHIP (4th in AL; tied 5th in ML)
218 Innings (3rd in AL and ML)
How would you rate his season, so far? 1, being the worst - 10, being the best.5 AnswersBaseball9 years ago
He's hitting .324 with 20 RBI's, 8 HR's, 14 steals, and 3 triples in 39 games. (Bound to better when season ends)
Players have win the ROY award without playing a full season, Willie McCovey (52 games, I think) -- Ryan Howard (88 games).5 AnswersBaseball9 years ago
My last question of the night. Now, with versatile players! Who's better?
119 Games Played
Plays all outfield spots, 1B, 2B, and SS (even though he hasn't in a long time)
NOTE: Zobrist leads the Majors with 40 doubles.
93 Games Played
Plays left field, 2B, and 3B.
Now, Prado did play in fewer games in Zobrist, but try to figure how different his numbers would be if he played the amount. Question is... Who's better?
Both pitchers are dominate against left-handed batters, but the question is.... Who's better?
NOTE: Left-handers are hitting .145 with 28 K's against Choate.
NOTE: Left-handers are hitting .148 with 24 K's.
Okay! This might be a little lop-sided, but I still want to know, who's a better lefty specialist?3 AnswersBaseball9 years ago
Both pitchers have been lights out in their past several starts. Now, I ask... Who's hotter?
16 Games Started
8 - 4 W/L Record
NOTE: He is 7 - 0 in his last 9 starts since he came off the DL in mid-June.
20 Games Started
12 - 4 W/L Record
NOTE: He is 8 - 0 in his last 9 starts.
Not much else to say, except... Who's the hotter pitcher?
Who's the better young player? 2011 Stats.
24 Games Played
80 Games Played
Now, I know the difference in "games played" is big, but I still ask the question.... Who's better?7 AnswersBaseball9 years ago
Jeremy Hellickson: W/L 10 - 7 , 3.15 ERA , 1.13 WHIP , 79K's and 45 BB's (1 CG)
Michael Pineda: W/L 9 - 7 , 3.53 ERA , 1.08 WHIP, 133K's and 43 BB's (0 CG)
Mark Trumbo: .261 average , 22 HR's, 63 RBI's , .301 OBP , 8 SB's , 47 runs
My opinion on the subject is that they should trade B.J. Upton. Just look at the outfield --
Desmond Jennings in LF
B.J. Upton in CF
Ben Zobrist/Matt Joyce in RF
I think that has the perfect balance of power and speed. Their defense would be good as well.
What do you guys think?

Now 6 games back of the Red Sox. They have 70 more games to play and 35% of those games will be against the Yankees and Red Sox. Do they have a chance to overtake the Yankees or Red Sox.
NOTE: Larger leads have been overcome later in the season before. Also, please no bias opinions -- Thanks!
