I have been looking around and found several sites on the internet, but each of them have mixed reviews and different prices. So, does anyone know a reliable website that has decent prices and ships to Canada? Also, would getting a strong colour like green be too much, and look odd? Are there any risks associated with wearing them? I don't have any eye problems so is it okay to just order any pair or should I talk to an optometrist/optician/whatever-it's-calle... How long does a pair usually last and how would I take proper care of them? Anything else I should know? Thanks so much in advance!! :)

I am 14 years old and have always been easily distracted and all that, but I recently found an article about ADHD and a lot of the symptoms sound familiar. I know I'm not just dumb in general because I actually do very well in school (I skipped a grade and I do a lot of advanced work) - Anyone who knows me can confirm that I am hyper and mood swing-y as heck. One minute I'll be jumping in circles and saying random words that come into my mind, next I'll be staring around me in a daze, too lazy to form words so I end up spouting gibberish. - Sometimes when I'm angry or upset (I cry frequently and over small things) I'll want desperately to feel positive and not mad, but I just can't make myself, like my emotions are in control. - I can often focus at school when I try, especially if the subject interests me, but I'm a procrastinator and never bring any books home, instead just winging all of my exams and doing homework the night before. - My thoughts bounce all over the place, until I can't remember what I was originally thinking. There are always layers of thought in my mind. - I can't put tasks in order and can't remember to do things, even though I can memorize things like exact chapters of novels and 315 digits of pi. - I dislike change, instead always going with things that I know are good. Icecream flavours, for example. I only ever pick strawberry. - I can start giggling about nothing and then never stop - I tend to have low self esteem - I am impatient and prone to screaming when my temper runs out - I can never sit still- I'm always fidgeting with something, picking at my skin, nervously bouncing my legs, grinding my teeth. Even subconsiously. - I doodle and daydream a lot, although I am still able to pay attention to my teachers, etc. while I do - I am not a people person and often don't know how to respond when with even my friends, but other times I can talk my head off - I am deadly shy, although I am learning to overcome that - I lose things all the time and make lots of careless mistakes because I can't be bothered to double check things - I love to climb things and am always moving in some way - I lack an 'inside voice' - My memories stay for a long time, but I often forget major details or switch thigns around. I dwell on things forever and can never forgive myself - Sometimes I obsess about a topic, then spend ages researching it. - I aim to win and won't take risks- I only like to do things if I know I'll succeed or if there's no chance of humiliation should I fail. - I'll often repeat something several times because I forgot I said it already - I can be super impulsive, but other times way too wary and I can give myself anxiety attacks over anything. For example, when we were running relays in school, I was freaking out before my turn because I didn't want everyone watching me run. But in the end my team placed first and now I feel too confident about my running. :P This was really long so thanks for reading all of it, I really want to know if I have ADHD because sometimes I feel like my brain is tied up in knots, and my family refuses to acknowledge that I might actually have a problem. (I also have family history of impulsive behaviour, if that means anything.) Thank you in advance for your help!! :)

I skate in group lessons with about 15 other people, all younger than me and who have all been skating several years longer than me. I learned fairly quickly and am already in the 'advanced' group. I know I'm way too old to go very far but I've been doing okay up til now, and recently landed my toe loop and waltz jump. I skate once a week for about 45 minutes a class because I can't afford private lessons, but I've improved quickly. I can do all the basic things (crossovers, edges, sit glides, one foot in either direction, shoot-the-ducks, bunny hops, lunges, and very high spirals forwards + backwards) as well as 2 and 1 foot spins. Is my progress fast enough that I should consider figure skating as something serious, or is it not worth pursuing?

  • Can I unshrink my Bench jacket?

A few months ago I bought a new Bench jacket, and my mom accidentally shrank it by putting it in the dryer without checking the label. It was already extra small, so now it's tiny. Is there any way to unshrink it without risking any damage? I can still wear it but the arms are too short. Thanks!

Hi. For all of my life I've wanted to figure skate, but haven't been able to for issues of cost. I haven't even taken the beginner learn-to-skate lesson before, and instead taught myself when I was about 7. Since then, it's just been some casual skating here and there, but I still trained flexibility and I was always naturally flexible with decent core strength. Now I'm 13 and am not as flexible, about 5 feet tall and very thin, at about 80 pounds. I started taking the beginner Canskate lessons and discovered that I'm a natural, and after 2 months I'm on my way to beginner figure skating lessons in something called Junior Starskate. I'm not as flexible as I used to be, which is pretty sad, but I won't give up on my dream. Here's where I'm at: I can do decent 2 foot spins although when people are watching I do worse, and am on my way with one foot and sit spins. Forwards and backwards sculling are easy and I have good balance on either foot in both directions. I can turn while moving and while on a curve, and am halfway there with backwards turns. I can jump easily while moving. My sit glides are pretty good and I'm starting to do one-footed sit glides. I can grab one foot while gliding and lift it up to my head from behind, although I can only hold it for a few seconds. I know that I'm at the level that most 5 year-olds would be at, and am looking for advice on what level I should be at right now, what I can do to get there, and the costs I'll be looking at. Thanks in advance!
