  • Why is there so much water in bacon?

Frying bacon becomes a dangerous occupation when a foamy white discharge caused by the water content of bacon begins to spit all over the person frying it. Other than the fact that the water adds to the weight and therefore the cost of the bacon, what is the reason for adding water and can it be justified..

Why should the taxpayer be paying for the priveledge of students at Oxford, Cambridge etc. to spend years doing what they like, or in the case of many of them wasting their time when they could be earning an honest living. I have a niece in Italy, the product of what most of us would call a peasant family. Her father worked night and day to finance her colledge and university studies. She travelled from her home at 5am to university and returned around 9pm every day for 6 years. She is now the equivalent of a judge in this country. If she and her family can do it, so can you. So stop griping and work for a living. Or do you think the world owes you a living?

As we lent the money to bail out the banks is it not time to foreclose on them? After all it is our money and I for one did not give it to them as a gift. They are obviously taking the P**s and awarding themselves large bonuses as if nothing has happened. If foreclosing on just one bank means disaster for them, tough! The remainder may just take the hint. If not, let them all fall, and we can start all over with respectable banking.

  • What is it with Cancer?

Everybody I speak to has a friend or knows somebody who has Cancer. I have had it and now my wife has. There seems to me to be an underlying trend for it to spread. Is it diet, Motor vehicle exhaust fumes, Remnants of past nuclear tests and explosions, or even perhaps Chernobyl?. It seems strange to me that it is becoming increasingly common.
