This is my first computer build so I'm not sure what could've gone wrong. Here's what I did: Installed the processor Cleaned and added new thermal compound (Artic Silver Thixotropic Premium Thermal Compound) Installed the stock heatsink Removed extra standoffs Installed the motherboard and connected the front panel I/O Installed the PSU Installed the harddrives Installed the RAM Installed the CD/DVD burner Tried turning the computer on just as a smoke test. It turns on, but not even for a half second. I installed NVIDIA GeForce 7800 just to see if that affects it, and it stayed on longer by a half second. When it's on, the fans work and the lights all go on. I don't hear the HD start spinning, but that might just be because it's only half a second. I've been pretty careful with handling everything. I've kept the motherboard inside an anti-static bag before installation, and had it on top of the bag as I installed the CPU/heatsink. I've worked with an anti-static wristband attached to my steel pocket knife (so I can move more easily). Here's what I bought: LIAN LI Lancool PC-K58W Intel Core i5-2400 GIGABYTE GA-H67MA-USB3-B3 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM Would it be a DOA motherboard, PSU or did I forget to do something?

  • What makes a wine "cru"?

I've tried to research it, but frankly, I'm confused. I'm no wine expert, and don't understand why a "burgundy cru" is so different from a "burgundy"?
