  • Internet browsers not displaying HTML properly?

When I write HTML on notepad, usually I just save it then open with an internet browser to see how it's looking, but when I do this now the internet browser is just displaying the code as notepad does. What am I doing wrong? It's been a while since I used it, but I'm pretty sure I'm not doing anything differently!

  • What action can be taken after being fired for misconduct at work?

    When the accusations were false.

    A few details:

I had been talking to senior figures in the company about my managers behaviour and bullying prior to this event.

My manager and I both made an official complaint about each other on the same day.

I was suspended immediately, being told this is standard procedure so I am not able to influence any witness's involved in the investigation

My manager wasn't suspended. When I questioned this I was told they still have a business to run.

At first my managers and the witness, another worker's, statement were the same.

Upon being requestioned, the other worker has said things that confirm that my manager has lied in her statement.

I have been fired for shouting, which I didn't do, although my voice was raised so I could be heard, as my manager was raising her voice.

The other reason I was fired was for having an angry look on my face, which the company have said they consider threatening and aggressive.

I had been talking to my managers boss for months previously in relation to my managers behaviour, and we were due to have a mediators meeting, which I had asked to be arranged.

I know this isn't a huge amount of detail, but do I have grounds to take them to a tribunal, or are there any other options.

I KNOW I have been treated unfairly. I was treated nastily for months, and since it has come to a head the company have basically taken her word over mine about everything, without any valid reason.

I need to do something as I can't survive without a job, and don't see why I should have to.

  • Muslims, help with this quote?

A muslim guy I know has this on a poster. I read it, and then re-read it expecting it to be really nice and inspirational because he had it on his wall...but it doesn't sound very nice.

    It's something like

Tear love of this world from your heart

How can you love this life that grows shorter by the hour.

Where is it from? Is it from the Qu'aran/koran or not?

What does it mean? I don't get why you shouldn't love a life that Allah gave you?

Is there some other context to it? What I have seen is literally a couple of lines.

  • Car warranty problem?

Right, I bought a rover 25 (first mistake) and took it back 2 weeks later when it was still under the warranty because it was losing water and I had to keep filling it up. They said it wasn't losing water when it was with them so couldn't see a problem, and gave me it back telling me to keep my eye on it. I checked it reguarly and it didn't seem to be losing water anymore, and I last checked it about a week and a half ago, then I checked it tonight, and the water was empty, and now the head gasket is going/gone (the white stuff in with the oil).

My question is even though the car is now out of its warranty are they obliged to fix it as the head gasket problem has been caused by the problem that they didn't fix when I took it to them when the car was still in the warranty.

    Where do I stand legally?

  • What's this passage of the bible all about?

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou

7:2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

7:3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

Who's altars should I be destroying?
