• This week in the UK an ex cabinet minister has suggested that we should legalise the controlled drugs?

I am undecided on this as both sides of the argument have merits, so I would like the community to comment. Please do not be emotive, try not to look at the problem from the point of view of the users who may be seen as criminals or victims. Please do not be emotive, try not to look at the problem from the point of view of the users who may be seen as criminals or victims. Concentrate on the benefit to society on the whole, for instance if we legalise we can tax it like tobacco, or will legalisation increase use, would crime increase or decrease, why? What are the wider benefits or disadvantages of legalisation. Consider the model set in the 'prohibition years' in the USA, how did that work, did it work? what can we learn from this, who benefited, who lost out? I would stress to any contributor that this is not an assignment or homework, purely a gauge of opinion. Thanks for taking time to reply.

Short of taking it to the dealers and splashing the cash, does anyone out there know how to reset the SRS light? I have tried the Bosch hand held diagnostic unit but it will not recognise the fault. Thanks.

  • If I connect an ACgenerator in parallel to the AC supply, how can I tell which way the current is flowing,?

I asked this question yesterday and many of you in the community have been good enough to take time to reply, thanks to you all. I am indeed aware of the need to synchronise and ensure phase compatibility, also the regulations concerned with such operations in the UK, but the question itself has not yet been addressed, please limit you response to the question, "If I connect an ACgenerator in parallel to the AC supply, how can I tell which way the current is flowing,? I know an ammeter will show current, but on AC it won't show current direction. I need to know when the generator is drawing on the supply so it can be disconnected. I need to know when the generator is feeding the supply so it can be kept connected. It is a privately owned supply from another generator." My personal view is that a Wattmeter may give an indication of current flow as it will give a negative reading with reverse current flow. What does the community think.
